It happens on a normal day. Someone is cleaning the hall before Diwali. A duster touches the chandelier, and one glass globe falls and breaks.
The rest of the light still works. But now one arm is bare. Your eye goes to the gap every evening.
You call the shop where you bought it. The shop says the model is old. The shop says they will “try”. Weeks pass. No globe comes.
Chandelier repair is rarely about skill. Chandelier repair is about one question: can anyone still get you the exact part? Below, you will see why the answer depends on who made your light, and how to check before you buy.
The short answer on chandelier repair
Most broken chandeliers can be repaired, if you can get the matching part. A maker who keeps spares can send that part. A trader who only resells finished lights has to ask someone else, and that someone may not have it.
At JagMag, we keep spares for 10+ years, because we make the parts ourselves.
What is really going on
A chandelier is not one thing. A chandelier is many small parts joined together. Think of glass globes, bulb holders, candle covers, arms and a ceiling plate.
Most of the time, only one small part fails. A globe cracks. A holder burns out. A ceiling plate gets lost when you shift house. The light around that part is still fine.
So a repair needs a part with the same size, the same shape and the same colour. A globe that is a little too wide will not sit in the holder. A grey globe will look wrong next to the smoke-grey ones on the other arms.
The maker has the sizes, the drawings and the people who made the first part. A trader buys finished lights and sells them. When you ask a trader for a spare, the trader can only pass your request back to whoever made the light.
If that maker is far away, has stopped the design, or is not known to the trader, the part does not come. Your light stays half-dark. A light that only needed one globe can end up thrown away.
The Government of India’s Right to Repair portal is built the same way. The portal lists the customer care contacts of product makers. When something breaks, the portal sends you to the maker.
How to check it yourself
You can check all of this in five minutes, in a shop or on a call.
- Ask the seller one plain question: “Did you make this light, or do you resell it?”
- On IndiaMART, use the filter that shows only manufacturers, so you know who you are buying from.
- Ask the seller to show you one spare part today, like a single globe or holder for that model.
- Ask how many years they keep spares, and ask them to write it on the bill.
- If a part breaks later, photograph it and measure its opening before you call, so the maker can match it fast.

Good chandelier repair starts with that one answer. Once you know who made the light, the next step is to compare what each side can really do for you.
Side by side
| What you care about | JagMag (the maker) | A trader (resells finished lights) |
|---|---|---|
| Who has the part? | We do, in our own factory | Only the maker, if the trader can reach them |
| Spares for how long? | 10+ years | Depends on the maker |
| Can you buy one spare online? | Yes, globes, holders and plates | Only if the maker sells spares |
| Metal parts rust? | No, stainless steel, lifetime rust warranty | Depends on the metal used |
| Choice on the day | Our own range | Many brands under one roof |
Where the other side is better
A trader gives you choice. One shop can show lights from many makers, side by side, on the same day.
In a big market like Bhagirath Palace in Delhi, you can see small bulbs and large crystal lights in one lane. You can also bargain, which many buyers enjoy.
If you only want a light for a short time, a trader can be the quick choice. If you want the light to last, the spare question matters more.
What we do at JagMag
JagMag Lights is a decorative lighting manufacturer in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, making lights in our own factory since 2015. We make the glass, the stainless steel metalwork and the small parts that hold a chandelier together.
Because we make every part, we can sell chandelier spare parts one piece at a time. Our range has glass globes, candle covers, ceiling plates and mounting brackets. For stone lights, we also carve a natural alabaster ball, a 15 cm shade of real alabaster. Each part is made in our own factory, and we can match older fittings.

Shopping now? If one arm needs colour, our blue crackle glass ball is 6.5 inch (165 mm) across and sold one piece at a time.
Our glass globes are blown by hand, one at a time. The same hands work in the same factory. So we can blow one more globe for your light years after you bought it.
Our metal parts are 304-grade stainless steel, the same family of steel as a good kitchen sink. Stainless steel parts on orders from 4 October 2026 carry a lifetime warranty against rust. If one rusts, we repair or replace that part free, as our legal policies state. Our products and spare parts are CE and UL certified, as listed on our certifications page.
A whole, working light at the centre of your hall is part of the harmony Vastu thinking values. A light that can be repaired keeps that harmony for years, not months.
If you are choosing a new light, look at our crystal chandeliers. Every one of them is made here, so every part has a spare here too.
FAQs
Can a broken chandelier be repaired?
Yes, most broken chandeliers can be repaired if you can get the exact matching part. Usually only one globe, holder or plate fails, and the rest of the light is fine.
Who should I call for chandelier repair?
Call the maker of the light first for the part, and a licensed electrician for any wiring. The maker knows the original sizes, so the new part is far more likely to fit.
Where can I buy chandelier spare parts in India?
Buy them from the company that made your chandelier, because the maker has the original sizes. JagMag sells glass globes, candle covers, ceiling plates and brackets online, one piece at a time.
How do I find the right replacement glass shade?
Measure the opening of the old shade, its width and its height, and take a clear photo. Send these to the maker, who can match the size and colour.
Does the JagMag warranty cover a broken glass globe?
No, our warranty covers rust on stainless steel parts and integrated LED modules, not glass broken after delivery. Glass damaged in transit, reported within 24 hours of delivery, is replaced, and you can always buy a single spare globe.
Nature gives the material. Human hands give it meaning. Vastu inspires harmony. Light brings it to life. That is JagMag.
