Overview
These borosilicate glass bird-wing chandelier components are precision-moulded decorative glass parts for building, restoring and customising premium light fixtures. Each clear ribbed wing measures 220 × 80 mm and ships 100 pieces per box — sized for workshops, lighting manufacturers and chandelier restorers who need consistent, matched components in volume.
Where it fits
- Multi-arm chandeliers and jhumars: The wing form slots into fan-arm and spray-arm assemblies, adding density and light scatter to each tier of the fixture.
- Chandelier and jhumar restoration: A direct replacement for chipped or missing wings on existing fixtures where the original batch is no longer available in the market.
- Wall lights with glass accents: Works as a decorative element on batten-style and tree-arm wall lights where glass pieces are threaded or pinned into the frame.
- Table and floor lamp embellishment: Used by custom lamp makers to add movement and refraction to statement shades and column-style lamps.
Why you’ll use it every day
Borosilicate glass tolerates the heat from incandescent and halogen bulbs without stress-cracking or yellowing — these wings stay as clear five years from now as on the day of fitting. The ribbed surface is moulded for consistency: each piece in the 100-piece box refracts light at the same angles, so there are no mismatched dark patches across a finished fixture. The flat profile keeps storage and inventory simple — the box stacks flat, you pull pieces as needed, and the rest stay scratch-free inside.
Light & finish
Unlit, the wings sit as transparent crystal accents that catch ambient daylight and scatter it across surrounding surfaces in fine, angular lines. Lit, the ribbed profile acts as a natural diffuser — breaking a single bulb’s output into dozens of angled beams that soften shadows across the ceiling and walls. The crystal-clear finish is colour-neutral and pairs with warm white, cool white or daylight sources without adding any colour cast. It suits interiors from all-white contemporary to deep jewel-tone traditional.

Vastu
In Vaastu, clear borosilicate glass is traditionally associated with openness and clarity — it neither blocks nor holds energy, making it well-suited to living and gathering spaces where light is meant to move freely. The bird-wing form is associated with upward movement and lightness, qualities traditionally considered conducive to a positive atmosphere in reception and living areas. In a chandelier directly above a seating area, the refractive scatter of multiple wings is considered to distribute energy evenly through the room rather than concentrating it in one spot.
Care
·Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth.
·Spot-clean with a pH-neutral cleaner on a cloth — never spray directly.
·Wipe the stainless steel gently dry after cleaning. Avoid abrasives and harsh chemicals.
·Indoor use only unless an IP rating is specified.
·Switch off the circuit before any electrical maintenance.
·Check mounting hardware periodically and tighten if needed.
FAQ
What material are these bird wings made from?
Each wing is moulded from clear borosilicate glass, chosen for its strength, thermal-shock resistance and lasting optical clarity compared with standard soda-lime glass.
What size is each piece and how many come in a box?
Each wing measures 220 × 80 mm (approx. 8.7 × 3.1 inches). They are sold 100 pieces per box.
Which fixtures are these suitable for?
They suit multi-arm chandeliers, jhumars, wall lights, hanging lights, and table or floor lamps — both for new builds and for restoring existing fixtures where individual wings have been damaged or lost.
Can I mix these with other Jagmag glass components?
Yes. The crystal-clear finish pairs well with other clear borosilicate parts such as oval drops, leaf forms and glass bars available in the Jagmag glass components range.
How do I check if these wings will fit my existing chandelier?
Measure the arm slot width and pin spacing on your fixture. The wing is 80 mm at its widest; most standard Indian chandelier frames accept this dimension without modification. If uncertain, order a small test quantity before committing to the full box.
Are these suitable for high-heat or outdoor use?
Borosilicate glass handles the heat output of most incandescent and halogen bulbs without cracking or yellowing over time. These components are intended for indoor decorative fixtures and are not rated for outdoor installation.
