Wood Wall Light – Reeded Matt-Gold Dome & Opal Glass Ball, 16 cm | Jagmag Lights

This wood wall light pairs a reeded, hand-finished dome in matt gold with a soft opal borosilicate glass globe, held on a slim round wall base. Switched on, the G9 bulb glows through the opal borosilicate glass as a warm, even orb while the ribbed gold dome throws a quiet halo back onto the wall. Switched off, it reads as a small sculptural object — a golden shell cradling a white sphere. Designed for bedsides, living-room walls, hallways and hospitality interiors where you want a warm point of light without a harsh bulb.

Where it fits

• Beside the bed — at 120–140 cm the opal globe gives a soft, reading-friendly glow, and as a symmetric pair it frames a headboard beautifully.
• Living-room accent — single beside a console, shelf or artwork at 150–160 cm, or paired either side of a mirror for quiet symmetry.
• Hallway or entry — at 143 mm projection it sits close to the wall and welcomes you in with a warm orb of light.
• Hospitality walls — corridors, guest rooms and reception areas where a run of matching globes adds warmth and rhythm.

Why you’ll use it every day

The opal borosilicate glass diffuses the G9 bulb into a soft, glare-free sphere — easy on the eyes late in the evening and warm enough to wind down by. The reeded dome in matt gold catches the light along its ridges, so the fixture has depth and character even when switched off. It takes a standard G9 bulb, so you choose your own brightness and colour temperature and swap it whenever you like. As a pair, the two globes do the decorating for you — balanced, warm and quietly confident.

Light & finish

Lit, the opal borosilicate glass ball becomes an even, warm orb with no visible filament, while the ribbed matt-gold dome reflects a gentle glow around it. The wood shade, finished in matt gold, gives a warmer, softer look than plain metal — the reeding adds texture that reads well in daylight and under lamplight alike. The round base is a brushed gold metal that sits flush and neat against the wall. It pairs naturally with warm-white walls, timber, marble, plaster and earthy linens, and suits mid-century, modern and transitional interiors.
