Overview
Switch it on and the whole bowl glows amber. This teak wood wall light is a single bowl of solid teak, turned on a lathe until fine rings run from the rim to the centre. An opal borosilicate glass ball sits at its heart and hides the bulb. It is 27 cm across and stands 11 cm off your wall.
Even switched off, it looks like a piece of wall art. The turned rings catch daylight and throw soft shadows across the wood.
Solid teak, turned by hand
Teak is a hardwood that grows slowly over many years. It is dense, strong and long-lasting, which is why it has long been valued in Indian homes.
Our craftsman sets each block on the lathe and reads the grain before the first cut. Then he turns it, one ring at a time, until the bowl takes shape. The surface is finished in a soft, washed tone, so the outside looks pale and the inside stays warm and honey-coloured.
Because it is real teak, no two bowls are the same. The grain and tone shift a little from piece to piece. That is the wood, not a defect.
When the light comes on, it spreads across the ringed teak. The grooves turn gold and the bowl reads as one soft, warm disc on the wall. The opal borosilicate glass ball softens the bulb, so you see a glow, not glare.
Where does a teak wall light work best?
- Living room and reading corner. Beside an armchair or sofa, as warm accent light.
- Hallway and entrance. A run along one wall, or a cluster of two or three at different heights.
- Bedroom. A pair either side of the bed, for soft evening light.
- Natural, Japandi and warm-minimal rooms. Plaster and limewash walls, linen, bouclé, stone and light oak.
This is accent and ambient light. Use it with a ceiling light, not instead of one.
Light and fitting
The light source is one G9 bulb holder. The bulb is not included; fit a 3000K warm-white G9 LED, which brings out the amber of the teak. It runs on 220–240V and is hardwired to the wall.
The light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm light.
The wall bracket and fixings behind the bowl are 304-grade stainless steel. They carry a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026 (Legal Policies 4.1A).
It is rated IP20, for indoor, dry rooms. Keep it out of bathrooms, wet areas and outdoors, so the wood stays protected.

Vastu
Vastu tradition favours natural materials in the home, and wood is one of the most valued. A teak bowl brings that natural element straight onto your wall. Warm light is preferred for living rooms and bedrooms, because it makes a room feel calm and welcoming.
Vastu guidance also asks for soft light in bedrooms rather than harsh overhead light, and for corners and hallways that are never left dark. This wall light suits both: the glass ball hides the bulb, and a pair or a run lights a passage evenly. East and north walls are often suggested for lighting, and the path to the main door should stay well lit.
Vastu is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right. We follow its thinking on materials and warm light; we don’t promise luck.

FAQ
Is it real teak wood?
Yes. The bowl is solid teak, turned on a lathe in our Greater Noida factory. The glass ball at the centre is opal borosilicate glass.
What bulb does it take?
One G9 bulb, not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white G9 LED to bring out the amber of the wood.
Is it dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
How big is it, and how high should I mount it?
