Glass Wall Light – Gold Opal Cylinder Sconce, 48 cm

Some evenings the room is fine. Then you switch on a glass wall light like this one, and the wall itself seems to glow. A tall white column of soft light, a touch of gold at the top, and the corner that felt empty now feels finished.

This is a glass wall light with a 40 cm opal borosilicate glass cylinder hung from a short gold arm. The whole piece stands 48 cm tall and sits just 13 cm off the wall. Think of it as a tall cylinder wall sconce: one long tube of soft light, close to the wall. One standout detail: the joint at the arm swivels, so the same light turns shade-up for a broad wash or shade-down for a pool of accent light.

Opal borosilicate glass, and what light does with it

Glass begins as sand. Heat turns it clear. Opal borosilicate glass goes one step further: a milky white body is set into the glass itself, so the whole cylinder turns into one even surface of light. No bright spot where the bulb sits. No hard shadow line on the wall.

The cylinder is formed with a softly rounded top, like a candle that never burns down. The shade is opal borosilicate glass, so by day it reads as a clean white column against the wall. At night it reads as a glow. Every piece is finished and checked by hand in our own Greater Noida factory, where we have been making lights since 2015.

The bracket that carries the glass is 304-grade stainless steel, cut and polished, then given a lacquered gold finish that holds its shine. Steel is the quiet part of the story here: it carries the natural material and stays out of the way. It also will not rust, and we back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.

Where a tall glass wall light works

Two of these on either side of a bed give you reading light with the bedside table left completely clear. One beside a round mirror in a hallway turns a passage into a place. Beside a bathroom basin, mounted at face height, the opal borosilicate glass gives even, flattering light with no glare. On a living room feature wall, even a patterned one, the clean white column calms the pattern around it.

Light, bulb and fitting

The light takes one E14 bulb, not included. A 4–6 W warm white LED at 3000K is enough for reading and soft enough for the evening. The socket is rated to 40 W. It runs on 220–240 V and is IP20, so it is for indoor walls only.

Made in our own factory. In stock pieces leave within 4 working days. Made-to-order pieces take 12–15 working days. A custom size, finish or colour takes 15–20 days. Importers quote 60–120.
