Overview
Some walls just need a line of light. A gold wall sconce like this one draws two tall gold strokes up the wall and ends each in a soft white glow. Switch it on and the bare wall beside the bed, or down the hallway, suddenly looks finished.
This is the Double Arrow: a gold wall sconce with two opal borosilicate glass tubes, each sitting on a slim stem that runs down the wall and turns back up in a long U. The whole piece is 56 cm tall and 16 cm wide. One standout detail: the two stems are set at slightly different heights, so the pair of lights reads like two candles, not a copy of one.
Opal borosilicate glass and stainless steel, and what light does with them
Glass belongs to the family of light. Borosilicate glass is melted from silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. It comes out crystal-clear. For these tubes, a white colour is added while the glass is made, so it becomes opal borosilicate glass.
That white is in the glass itself, not painted on. So the light from each G9 bulb softens into a glow at the base of the tube and fades up its length. You see warm light, not a bright bulb.
The stems, holders and the square backplate are 304-grade stainless steel. Each stem is bent into its long U curve, then given an antique gold finish that picks up the warm light at night and reads as polished brass by day. Steel carries the glass and stays quiet. It also will not rust: we give a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
Where a gold wall sconce works best
Mount one on each side of a bed headboard, at 140–150 cm from the floor. The two tubes frame the bed with even warm light on both sides, and your bedside table stays clear. It takes no floor space and can stand in for a pair of table lamps. Among modern gold sconces, this double light wall sconce gives two pools of glow from one fitting, so one each side of the bed is enough. For clear glass with a honeycomb cage instead, see our double wall light. For more ideas, see our bedroom wall lights.
In an entrance hall, it sits well over a console. In the drawing room or living room, try one on each side of a large mirror. In a hallway, mount it at 180–200 cm so it reads as a feature, not something at eye level. Keep about 25 cm clear in front of it in a walkway.
It suits modern, transitional and contemporary Indian rooms, and the Art Deco and Hollywood Regency look. It loves upholstered headboards, warm plaster walls, teak wood furniture and velvet. It is less at home in heavy rustic or industrial rooms, or next to cool chrome.

Light, bulb and fitting
It takes two G9 capsule bulbs, one per tube. Bulbs are not included. Fit a 4–6 W warm white LED at 3000K in each. Each holder is rated to 40 W, but a small LED is all it needs, and it costs almost nothing to leave on all evening. The light points up, washing the wall above rather than shining into your eyes.
It runs on 220–240 V. It is IP20, for indoor walls only. It is not dimmable, so the glow stays a steady warm white.
The backplate is wired direct to the wall: live, neutral and earth, with two wall fixings. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes. We give free video-call support if you want us on the line while they do.

Pairs well with: the 60 cm Art Deco Wall Light – Dania, a two-light glass rod sconce in a gold finish, for a hallway that runs into a bedroom. For one tall tube instead of two, the Glass Wall Light – Gold Opal Cylinder Sconce, 48 cm matches the same gold and opal borosilicate glass. For a rounder shape, the Brass Opal Wall Lamp – Spherical White Globe, G9 sets a globe on a brass-finish stainless steel arm.

Vastu
Vastu tradition asks for soft, warm light in the bedroom and nothing harsh straight over the bed. Wall lights beside the headboard are the usual answer. This gold wall sconce, with 3000K bulbs in opal borosilicate glass, gives that calm warm glow and points its light up the wall, away from your eyes.
For hallways and entrances, Vastu guidance asks for warm light, no dark corners and no flicker. A steady LED inside opal glass spreads even light along a passage. South-east is the fire zone, where a warm light sits well; on south and west walls, keep the light soft. Glass and steel pair naturally with the wood, stone, linen and cotton that Vastu has always valued.
None of this is a promise of luck or money. It is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right to come back to.

FAQ
Where does a gold wall sconce look best in an Indian home?
Beside the bed is the favourite spot. Mount one on each side of the headboard at 140–150 cm from the floor. It also works over a console in an entrance hall, or on each side of a large mirror in the drawing room.
What bulb does this gold wall sconce take?
Two G9 capsule bulbs, one per tube, not included. Fit a 4–6 W warm white LED at 3000K in each. Each holder is rated to 40 W.
Is it dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
Will the gold frame rust, and is the glass real?
The frame is 304-grade stainless steel, which does not rust, with an antique gold finish. Orders from 4 October 2026 get a lifetime warranty against rusting on the steel parts. The tubes are real opal borosilicate glass; the white is in the glass, not a coating.
How high should I mount it, and how far does it stand off the wall?
At the bedside, mount it at 140–150 cm from the floor; in a hallway or drawing room, 180–200 cm. Keep at least 25 cm clear in front in a walkway. For the exact projection, ask us and we will confirm it from the production spec.
Can I get a different size or finish, and how is it installed?
Yes. We make it in Greater Noida, so a custom size or finish takes 15–20 days, against 60–120 days from importers. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, with free video-call support from us. Spares stay available for 10+ years.
