Alabaster Disc Wall Light – Round 35 cm Halo Sconce

Switch it on and the wall around it starts to glow. This disc wall light is one 35 cm round of real alabaster, lit from behind. A warm halo spreads across the stone and spills onto your wall. No glare. Just soft light that changes with the veins.

At the centre sits a small opal lens over a G9 holder. It turns one bright point into a wide, even ring of light. At the thinner edges, the stone lets a faint amber glow through.

Real alabaster, cut by hand in Greater Noida

Alabaster is stone formed beneath the earth. This disc is natural alabaster, the white Spanish snow gypsum, with grey and amber veins running through it.

Our craftsman reads the stone before he cuts. Where do the veins run? Which face should look into your room? Then he cuts each disc by hand, smooths it, and leaves the veins exactly as nature made them.

So no two discs match. The veins run differently. The colour shifts. The stone looks darker where it is denser. Light it and you get a glow that belongs to your piece and nothing else. One block of stone. One light. Never repeated.

Where a disc wall light works in your home

A bedroom is its natural home. Mount one on each side of the headboard, 140–150 cm from the floor, for a calm paired bedside look. With a 3–4W LED fitted, the 35 cm disc gives enough light to read by.

Light and fitting: what you need to know

The disc sits on a backplate of 304-grade stainless steel in a white chrome finish. It keeps the stone close to the wall and almost disappears against a light-coloured wall.

That steel will not rust. You get a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026 (Legal Policies 4.1A). It covers the stainless steel parts.

It takes one G9 bulb, up to 40W. Bulb not included; fit a 3000K warm-white LED. A 3–4W LED gives the full halo without heating the stone. It is not dimmable.

It is hardwired to the wall on 220–240V and rated IP20, for indoor use. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we give free video-call support while they do.
