Glass pendant lights in borosilicate glass, shaped by hand in India. Our glass begins as silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, melted and then blown or moulded by hand. Clear glass lets the light pass clean. Opal borosilicate glass softens it to an even glow with no glare. Smoked, amber and gold-lustre glass get their colour while the glass is made, so it never wears off.
Every glass pendant lamp here hangs from 304-grade stainless steel that never rusts. Pick the 40 cm capsule glass pendant light, the 30 cm opaline glass pendant light, the ribbed fluted glass pendant light or the faceted amber glass pendant light in three sizes. Like a darker glass? Pendants hang on 1.5 m as standard, shortened at installation. Built-in LEDs are 3000K warm white. Holder lights come without a bulb: fit a 3000K warm-white LED. Nothing is dimmable.

What glass is used in these glass hanging lights?
Borosilicate glass, melted from silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, then shaped by hand. Clear glass lets the light pass clean; opal borosilicate glass softens it to a glow; smoked and amber glass have colour added while the glass is made. Each glass hanging light hangs on 1.5 m of wire as standard, shortened at installation.
How high should a glass pendant light hang over a dining table?
Keep the bottom of the glass 75–90 cm above the table top. That clears the view across the table and keeps the glow close to the food and faces. Use one pendant for every 60–75 cm of table length.
Do you make frosted glass pendant lights and reeded glass pendant lights?
Yes. Our frosted glass pendant lights are made in opal borosilicate glass: white is added while the glass is made, so the bulb disappears into one soft, even glow, as in the 30 cm Opaline Glass Pendant Light. A reeded glass pendant light has fine ribs in the glass that break the light into soft lines, as in our Reeded Glass Lantern Pendant. Holder pendants come without a bulb; fit a 3000K warm-white LED.
Is a glass pendant lamp the same as a glass pendant light?
Yes. Both names mean one light that hangs from the ceiling with a glass shade. What changes the look is the glass: clear borosilicate glass shows the bulb, opal borosilicate glass hides it in a soft glow, and smoked or amber glass gives a warmer, darker light. Every glass pendant lamp we make hangs from 304-grade stainless steel with a lifetime rust warranty.
