Glass Petal Pendant Light – Ribbed Flower Shade with Coloured Orb Collar

Switch it on and the whole flower lights up. This glass flower pendant light opens like a bloom caught halfway: ribbed petals fan out from a gold collar and curl at the tips, 25 cm across. Green and amber glass orbs sit at the top, either side of a ribbed clear bead.

It is one light that does the work of a decoration. Lit, it glows. Unlit, it still looks like something you chose on purpose.

What is it made of, and what does the light do?

Every petal is clear borosilicate glass. That glass starts as silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, melted together until it runs clear. Our craftsman shapes each petal with fine ribs and turns the tip into a small curl, so the edge catches light.

The orbs are the same borosilicate glass, with green or amber colour added while the glass is made. The bead between them is clear and ribbed, like the petals.

Here is what happens at the switch. The ribs split the bulb’s glow into thin lines of light. There is no single hotspot. The warmth spreads to the walls, and the green and amber orbs glow like small lamps of their own.

The canopy, the holder cup and the small beads at the collar are 304-grade stainless steel with a polished gold finish. Steel is the frame here, not the hero. It will not rust, and we back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.

Where does a glass flower pendant light look best?

• Corridor or entrance hall: three in a row at the same drop give a long passage a calm rhythm. Keep the bottom of each shade 200–250 cm from the floor.
• Dining table: one over a round table up to 90 cm across, 70–75 cm above the top. Use two along a longer table.
• Kitchen island: a pair over the counter, about 70 cm above the surface.
• Living room: one over a side table or reading chair, for a soft pool of light.
• Bedroom and dressing area: hang it beside the bed or over a dressing console. The nightstand stays free.

It sits well with cream and ivory walls, dark wood, brass accents, rattan and classic Indian rooms. In an all-white minimal or raw-concrete room, the detail can feel out of place.

Light and fitting

It takes one E27 bulb, up to 40 W. The bulb is not included. Fit a 4–6 W warm-white LED filament at 3000K. That gives the amber glow in our photos. Cool white makes the ribbed glass look grey.

The light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm light. It is rated IP20, for indoor use, on 220–240V.

It hangs on a clear cord from a Ø 100 mm canopy. Total height is 550 mm, and the drop adjusts up to 1,000 mm. The electrician sets the length at installation. It mounts to a standard ceiling rose, and any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes. We give free video-call support if you need it.
