Glass Petal Pendant Light — When Your Ceiling Light Actually Becomes the Talking Point

Most pendant lights are forgettable. A dome, a globe, a cylinder — they give you light and then disappear into the background. The Glass Petal Pendant from JagMag Lights is the opposite. Its shade is formed from eight ribbed glass petals that fan outward and curl at the tips like a flower mid-bloom. Three coloured glass orbs — emerald green, clear crystal, and deep ruby red — sit at the collar where the petals meet the fitting. Switch it on and the ribbed glass catches the warm filament glow and scatters it in every direction. Switch it off and it still looks like a piece of decorative art.

It goes in corridors, dining rooms, kitchen islands, bedrooms and foyer areas — any space where a single point of warm decorative light is the right call. Three in a row down a corridor looks exceptionally good (see image 6 above). Two side by side above a kitchen island or a dining table work just as well.

Where This Pendant Works Best

In a living room, hang it over a side table or reading corner — it adds warmth without dominating the space. In a dining room, a single pendant works over a small round table; for a longer table, pair two. Down a corridor or entrance hall, three in a line at the same height creates a polished, layered look. It also works beautifully over a kitchen island or as a bedside pendant in the bedroom. The gold hardware pairs naturally with warm cream, white, and dark wood interiors.

Installation Notes

Standard ceiling rose mount. Drop is adjustable from 550 mm up to 1,000 mm — shorten by gathering cord at the canopy before fixing. Requires 1×E27 bulb (not included); a 4–6 W warm white LED filament at 2700K shows off the ribbed glass best. Maximum load 40 W. Wiring by a licensed electrician is recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this pendant over a dining table?
Yes. For a round table up to 900 mm diameter, one pendant centred 700–750 mm above the tabletop works well. For a longer rectangular table, use two pendants spaced evenly.

What bulb makes the ribbed glass look best?
A 4–6 W E27 warm white LED filament (2700K) gives the amber glow you see in the product photos. Avoid cool white — it makes the glass look grey rather than warm.

Can I use three in a row for a corridor?
Yes — the corridor image above shows exactly this. Space them 700–900 mm apart at the same drop height for the best effect.

Is the drop adjustable?
Yes. The standard cord gives a 550 mm total drop. You can adjust up to 1,000 mm by letting out cord at the canopy, or shorten by gathering it inside.

Does this come with a bulb?
No. The fixture ships without a bulb. We recommend an E27 LED filament (warm white, 4–6 W, 2700K).
