Overview
Some rooms are too big for a small light. A wide dining table, a double-height hall, an open plan where the eye needs one place to land. This rattan ceiling light is made for those rooms. It is a hat-shaped pendant of real handwoven rattan, 80 cm across.
It hangs in three tiers. A wide, shallow brim on top. A woven cone below it. A small woven drum at the bottom, around the bulb. Switch it on and each layer catches the light, so it spills down in a warm, dappled pool on your table.
Real rattan, woven by hand in three tiers
This pendant belongs to the Fibre family. Rattan is a climbing palm. Its long stems are cut, cleaned and split into fine strands before they reach our bench.
In our Greater Noida factory, a craftsman weaves those strands over a 304-grade stainless steel frame, one tier at a time. Thin ribs hold the brim open, and every rim is wrapped by hand in split rattan. Small changes in colour and weave stay as they are. We don’t make it uniform.
What does the light do with it? Through the drum and the cone, it glows honey-gold and shows every row of the weave. Under the brim, it softens and spreads, so you get light on the table without glare in your eyes.
Where does an 80 cm rattan pendant light work best?
Over a large round or rectangular dining table, 120 cm and larger, in a room 10 × 10 ft and above. Hang it 75–90 cm above the table. Our photos show it over a wooden dining table, and over a round café-style table by a garden window.
It shines in a double-height drawing room, where the 80 cm dome still reads well from the floor. One pendant this size can anchor a whole open-plan drawing-and-dining zone, with nothing else on the ceiling. It also suits an entrance hall.
A kitchen island 90 cm or longer is another good home. Hang it 70–75 cm above the counter, and the rattan warms an otherwise plain worktop. For a table 220 cm or longer, hang two, 80–100 cm apart and centred along the table.
It sits well in bohemian, Japandi, coastal, tropical, natural modern and wabi-sabi rooms. Pair it with a teak dining table, cane chairs, linen seating and terracotta accents.

Pairs well with our 18-inch cane frame pendant light, a handwoven rattan donut for a reading corner or side table in the same room.
Pairs well with the 70 cm rattan hat pendant light, the same handwoven saucer in a smaller size, for a kitchen island next to the dining table.

Fit
Vastu
Vastu tradition places the dining area in the west or north-west of the home. It asks for daylight by day and soft, warm light in the evening. Warm white at 3000K is close to that, far gentler than a 6000K tube light.
The tradition favours natural materials such as wood, stone and natural fibre over plastic. Real rattan sits naturally beside a teak table and indoor plants. Hang the pendant centred over the table, so light falls evenly on every seat and no corner stays dark.
Vastu is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right. We take it as that.

FAQ
Where does a rattan ceiling light look best in an Indian home?
Over a dining table 120 cm or larger. At 80 cm across, hang it 75–90 cm above the table in a dining hall, an open-plan kitchen-dining room or a double-height drawing room. Wood floors, cane furniture and terracotta walls suit it best.
What bulb does it use?
It takes one E27 bulb, and the bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED; 6–9 W gives the richest glow through the tiers, up to 60 W max.
Is this light dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
Is the rattan real, and how do I clean it?
Yes. All three tiers are real rattan, woven by hand, not plastic or printed. Dust it with a soft, dry brush, and keep it away from water.
How low should I hang it, and can I hang two?
Hang it 75–90 cm above a dining table, or 70–75 cm above a kitchen counter. The 150 cm drop is shortened at installation. Over a table 220 cm or longer, two of these domes, 80–100 cm apart, make a bold natural ceiling.
Who fits it, and how fast will it reach me?
Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we give free video-call support. In stock, it leaves within 4 working days; made to order, in 12–15 working days. Custom diameters and canopy finishes take 15–20 days.
