Overview
Some lights you look at. This one you want to touch. Hundreds of loose rattan strands fall from a small ring and wrap the bulb like a soft cocoon over your table.
This rattan pendant light is called Nukano. The shade is 35 cm wide and 53 cm tall, and it is shaggy on purpose. No two shades look the same, because no two hands lay the strands the same way.
Rattan: a fibre that grows, shaped by hand
Rattan is a climbing palm that grows long and supple in the forest. It belongs to our Fibre family, next to cane and jute.
Our craftsman in Greater Noida sorts the strands, bends them and ties them to the top ring one by one. He leaves the ends loose and uneven. That untidy edge is the wabi-sabi idea: beauty in what is not perfect.
Switch it on and the light slips through hundreds of small gaps. You get a warm, dappled glow with soft shadows, not a hard beam.
Where a rattan pendant light works best
Hang one over a round dining table. Hang two or three in a row over a long table or a kitchen island, like the café photos above. Clusters of two to five work well.
Use one as a bedside pendant and free up your side table. It also fits a reading nook, a hallway that needs a focal point, a café counter or a studio desk.

Light and fitting
The shade hangs on a black cord, 1.5 m as standard, shortened at installation to the drop you want. Hang it 75–90 cm above a dining table, or 70–75 cm above a kitchen counter.
The canopy, holder and frame are 304-grade stainless steel in a matte black finish. They carry a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
It takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included; fit a 3000K warm-white LED of 6–10 W. The light is not dimmable. It runs on 220–240V and is rated IP20, so keep it in dry indoor rooms.

Vastu
Vastu tradition places the dining area in the west or north-west of a home. For the evening meal, it asks for soft, warm light. A 3000K bulb behind rattan gives exactly that: an amber glow and no glare in anyone’s eyes.
Vastu also favours natural materials and warm colours like beige and yellow around the table. Rattan is a natural fibre in a natural beige, and it sits well beside a wooden table. Hang the pendant centred over the table so the light falls evenly on every plate.
We don’t promise luck. Vastu is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right, and this light is one small part of that.

How high should I hang this rattan pendant light?
Hang it 75–90 cm above a dining table, or 70–75 cm above a kitchen counter. The 1.5 m cord is shortened at installation to match your ceiling, and the shade itself is 53 cm tall.
Which bulb does it take, and is it included?
It takes one E27 bulb, and the bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED of 6–10 W for a soft amber glow through the rattan.
Is this light dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
Is the rattan real, and will the metal rust?
Yes, the shade is real rattan, a natural fibre tied by hand, so every shade varies a little. The canopy, holder and frame are 304-grade stainless steel with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
Can I hang several together, or get a custom size?
Yes. Clusters of two to five work well over long dining tables and kitchen islands. We make it in our own factory, so custom diameters and finishes take 15–20 days; ask us for a quote.
How is it installed, and how fast will it arrive?

How do I clean a rattan shade?
Brush it gently with a soft, dry brush, or use a hair dryer on the cool setting. Keep water away, since rattan is a natural fibre and the light is rated IP20.
