Double Alabaster Pendant Light – Hourglass Natural Stone Domes 45 cm

Picture the lamp beside your bed switched off, and the table free again. Above it, two small domes of stone glow warm. This double alabaster pendant light stacks two hand-cut natural alabaster half-domes in an hourglass shape, 45 cm tall and only 15.2 cm wide. Think of it as a double pendant light in one slim drop: two domes of stone on one fitting.

The upper dome opens to the ceiling. The lower dome faces the floor. So one slim light sends a soft wash up and a warm pool down at the same time.

Real alabaster, cut and polished by hand

Alabaster is stone formed beneath the earth. It belongs to the same stone family as marble and onyx, but it is softer and lets light through.

Our craftsman in Greater Noida reads each block before he cuts it. He decides where the veins should sit, shapes the half-dome, then polishes it by hand. The darker edges and amber-grey veins are left alone, because they are the stone’s own.

Switch it on and the stone glows from inside. The veins come forward and both domes turn a warm honey-gold. Switch it off and they read as pale white sculpture. No two pieces are the same.

The beads, the stem and the two-sphere drop finial are 304-grade stainless steel in an antique bronze finish. The bronze tone keeps the piece warm, not flashy.

Where a double alabaster pendant light works best

Bedside. At 15.2 cm wide, it hangs neatly beside a bed and frees the nightstand. Hang one on each side for a pair of hanging bedside lights.

Dining table or kitchen island. Hang one over a small table, or run two or three at staggered heights over a longer table or island.

Living room. A slim drop of warm light beside a sofa, a side table or a reading chair.

Stairwell or double-height wall. The tall, narrow form suits a vertical drop where a wide fixture will not fit.

Pooja room. A small, steady glow of stone for a compact mandir corner.

Reception and hospitality. A row over a counter gives a warm welcome in hotels, salons, studios and stores.

It works in rooms of 8 ft × 8 ft and above, with a ceiling of 8 ft or more. It suits Art Deco, mid-century modern, modern minimalist and contemporary rooms. It sits well with velvet, dark wood, marble and brass accents. Bright primary colours and heavily rustic rooms tend to fight it.

Light, fitting and the steel that holds it

Each dome is lit by a built-in LED, 12 W in total, in 3000K warm white. There is no bulb to buy or change. The LED module carries a 1-year warranty on orders from 4 October 2026 (Legal Policies 4.1B).

Every metal part, from the round ceiling canopy to the finial, is 304-grade stainless steel. It carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026 (Legal Policies 4.1A).

It hangs on a dark cord, 1.5 m as standard, shortened at installation. Over a table, hang the lowest sphere 75 to 85 cm above the top. At a bedside, set it at comfortable reading height.

It runs on 220–240 V and is rated IP65, so it is dust-tight and protected against water jets. It is not dimmable. It gives a fixed, warm 3000K light.

It is hard-wired to a standard ceiling point. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we help free on a video call.
