Wood and Alabaster Pendant Light – Teak Disc & Glowing Stone 35 cm

This wood and alabaster pendant light gives you that. A flat 35 cm teak wood disc sits over a pillow-shaped diffuser of real alabaster stone. Switch it on and the stone glows from inside, honey-gold, with its amber veins showing.

Teak and alabaster: two natural materials, one light

Alabaster is stone formed beneath the earth. Our craftsman reads the veins first, then cuts and polishes the diffuser so the natural pattern stays. No two pieces match. The veins in yours belong to yours alone.

The disc is teak wood, grown over years. We shape it into a thin, wide plate and leave the grain open, so you can see it. A turned teak bead sits on top, held by a slim stem.

Lit, the stone turns warm amber and throws a soft glow onto the table. It also washes the underside of the teak, so the grain warms up. Unlit, it reads as a pale stone pebble beneath dark wood. Quiet. Sculptural.

Where does a wood and alabaster pendant light work best?

• Over a dining table: the 35 cm disc lights a table for two to four without blocking the view across it.
• Above a kitchen island: hang two or three in a row, about 60–70 cm apart, for even, warm light.
• Breakfast nook or home bar: one or two give a soft glow for morning chai or evening drinks.
• Living room, entry or reading corner: the low, wide shape works where a tall fixture would feel heavy.

It sits easily in mid-century modern, Japandi, Scandinavian and modern minimalist rooms. Pair it with natural wood furniture, linen upholstery, and stone or marble surfaces. It looks out of place beside heavy, ornate classical furniture. It suits rooms 8 ft × 8 ft and above, with a ceiling of 8 ft or more.

Light and fitting

The stem and the ceiling canopy are 304-grade stainless steel with a brass finish. Stainless steel does not rust. We back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.

It hangs on a black cord, 1.5 m as standard, shortened at installation. Over a dining table, hang the base 75–85 cm above the tabletop. Read our pendant light height guide for other rooms.

It takes one replaceable bulb. The bulb is not included, so fit a 3000K warm-white LED. The alabaster softens it to an even, glare-free glow. This light is not dimmable. It is rated IP20, for indoor use, and runs on 220–240V. A licensed electrician fits it to a standard ceiling point in 20–30 minutes, and we help on a free video call if needed.
