Know your light
This wall reading light pairs a soft opal borosilicate glass globe with a separate, adjustable cylinder spotlight on a slim matte-black metal frame. At 33 cm tall and just 12 cm deep, it mounts on a bedside wall or above a study desk without taking any floor space. Two backplate switches let you run the globe glow and the sharp reading beam independently — or together. A clean, functional wall reading light built for Indian homes by Jagmag.
Where it fits
This wall reading light is best at a bedside — mount at 140–150 cm and angle the reading spot toward your pillow or book. It also suits a compact study nook where a table lamp crowds the desk, or beside an armchair in a living room reading corner. Looking for a warmer ambient glow for the same room? The Gold Glass Dome Wall Light and the Round Brass Ring LED Light pair well with this fixture.
Why you’ll use it every day
A wall reading light takes zero floor space and zero surface space — no base, no cord on the bedside table. The dual-switch backplate means you can turn the globe on for soft ambient light and the cylinder spot on for task reading, without getting up. Fit a 4–6W warm G9 LED and you get sharp, shadow-free reading light at minimal electricity cost. Built in our own Greater Noida factory — spare parts available for 10+ years from Jagmag.
Light & finish
The opal borosilicate glass globe diffuses the G9 bulb into a broad, even glow — no glare, no hotspot on the ceiling. The cylinder reading spot focuses a clean beam wherever you point it. Frame and backplate are matte-black metal, a finish that reads equally well on white plaster, dark grey, or earthy terracotta walls. Run both lamps at 3000K for a cohesive, restful bedroom wall reading light setup that does not feel clinical.
Vaastu & positive energy
A wall reading light on the south or east bedroom wall supports mental focus and clarity, per Vaastu Shastra. Warm 3000K light eases the mind before sleep better than cool phone-screen blue. Matte-black metal grounds the space with a stabilising energy that balances the soft glow of the opal globe beside it.

We used it near the passage. The light feels comfortable and the finish looks clean near the mirror wall beside the bed.
Common questions
Where does a wall reading light look best in an Indian home?
Flanking a headboard at 140–150 cm is the ideal wall reading light position — the opal globe lights the room softly while the cylinder spot points at your book. A single unit also works above a study desk chair where a table lamp takes up too much surface space.
What bulb does this wall reading light use?
G9 socket — one for the opal globe, one for the reading spot. Use 4–6W warm-white G9 LED capsules at 2700–3000K, maximum 40W per socket. Bulbs are not included with this wall reading light.
How high should I mount this wall reading light?
Mount at 140–150 cm from the floor for bedside use — the opal globe sits at shoulder height when sitting up and the reading spot reaches a book or tablet easily. For a study chair or hallway, 170–180 cm suits this wall reading light better.
How much does this wall reading light project from the wall?
12 cm projection from the backplate. Keep at least 170 mm of clear space in front so the adjustable reading cylinder can tilt freely without touching anything. The 33 cm frame stays close to the wall above and below.
Can I get this wall reading light in a different size or finish?
Jagmag manufactures in Greater Noida — custom sizes and finishes on request, 15–20 day lead time vs 60–120 days for importers. Message us with your wall dimensions and preferred finish and we’ll confirm.
Does this wall reading light come with installation support?
Free video call support from Jagmag. Any electrician installs this wall reading light in 20–30 minutes — two wall screws and a standard wiring connection. Spare parts available for 10+ years. Not sure which height works best for your headboard or desk? Message Jagmag — we’ll advise the right mounting position in 5 minutes.
