Overview
You want to read in bed. Your partner wants to sleep. This bedroom reading light lets you both have your way.
It is two lights in one 29 cm wall light. A Ø10 cm opal borosilicate glass globe gives the room a soft, warm glow. Below it, an adjustable LED reading spot puts a small pool of light on your page. Each one has its own switch on the backplate, so you can run the globe, the spot, or both.

Opal borosilicate glass on a curved gold leaf
The globe is borosilicate glass, melted from silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. White is added while the glass is made, which turns it opal. Light does not shine through it in a hard point. It softens into an even, milky glow.
Behind the globe is a single leaf of 304-grade stainless steel. Our team in Greater Noida cuts it, curls the top edge over, and gives it a brushed gold finish. Switch the globe on and the curve catches the light, so the gold warms up around the glass.
The steel will not rust. It carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
Where does a bedroom reading light work best?
Beside the bed is its home. Fix one on each side of the headboard, centred at 140–150 cm from the finished floor, for a matched pair. Each person gets their own globe and their own spot.
It also works beside a dressing-table or vanity mirror, centred at eye level and away from water splashes. In a hallway niche or on a living-room feature wall, fix it at 180–200 cm so the globe stays out of your eyes. It suits hotel rooms and serviced apartments too: no floor lamp, no lamp on the table, no clutter.

Light, bulb and fitting
The globe has an E14 holder. The bulb is not included. Fit a 4–6 W E14 LED in 3000K warm white for a cosy glow that is never dim.
The reading spot is an integrated 3000K warm-white LED, so there is nothing to buy for it. It pivots, so you aim it at your book, not your eyes. The built-in LED carries a 1-year warranty on orders from 4 October 2026.
This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed, warm 3000K light. It is IP20, made for indoor walls. It runs on 220–240V and ships with a standard backplate for Indian wall boxes. The whole frame, backplate and spot body are 304-grade stainless steel in a brushed gold finish.

Vastu
Vastu tradition asks for soft, warm light in the bedroom, not a hard light over the bed. Indian Vastu guides suggest lamps or wall lights on each side of the bed, and warm white in place of cool white. This light does exactly that: a warm 3000K globe and a small spot that lights the page, not the room.
Vastu also places the master bedroom in the south-west and keeps the headboard against a solid wall. A pair of wall lights on that wall lights it evenly, with no dark corner and no glare in your eyes. Opal glass softens the light, and steel is a calm, grounding metal.
Vastu is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right. We take it as a guide to a calmer room, nothing more.
Care

·Spot-clean with a pH-neutral cleaner on a cloth — never spray directly.
·Wipe the stainless steel gently dry after cleaning. Avoid abrasives and harsh chemicals.

Where does this bedroom reading light look best?
Beside the bed, one on each side of the headboard, is the most popular spot. A single one also works beside a vanity mirror, in a hallway at eye level, or on a living-room feature wall.
Which bulb does it need?
The globe takes an E14 bulb, which is not included. Fit a 4–6 W LED in 3000K warm white. The reading spot is a built-in 3000K LED and needs no bulb.
Is it dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
How high should I mount it?
Centre it at 140–150 cm from the finished floor beside a bed. In a hallway or living room, 180–200 cm keeps the globe out of your eyes. Beside a vanity mirror, centre it at eye level.
Will the gold frame rust?
No. The frame, backplate and spot body are 304-grade stainless steel, with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
Can I use it as the only light in the room?
As a bedside pair, it is enough for reading and night-time glow. In a larger room, use it with a ceiling light: the globe adds warmth while the ceiling light handles the rest.
