Know your light

This fluted alabaster wall light pairs two hand-cut natural stone tubes with antique bronze spheres, top and bottom. Light glows out through the ribbed stone in both directions, washing the wall above and below in a warm 3000K amber. At 500 mm tall and only 100 mm wide, it reads as a slim vertical line on the wall.

Where it fits

The fluted alabaster wall light works almost anywhere you want warmth without clutter.

  • Beside the bed: Mount at 140–150 cm and it replaces a bedside lamp. Your nightstand stays clear.
  • Living room: A pair either side of a sofa, a fireplace or artwork looks deliberate and finished.
  • Hallways and staircases: Only 80 mm off the wall, so nobody brushes it walking past.
  • Hotels and restaurants: The up-and-down glow layers beautifully along a corridor of repeating sconces.

Why you’ll use it every day

Here is the thing about stone. It does something glass cannot.

Light passing through natural alabaster picks up the veining inside the block, so the glow is never flat. The fluted ribs then break that light into soft vertical bands. You get texture on the wall, not a plain bright patch.

Hand-cut from natural alabaster — which means no two are alike. The veins run differently. The colour shifts. The edges darken where the stone is denser. Light it up and you get a glow that belongs to your piece and nothing else. One block of stone. One light. Never repeated.

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy, match or replace. And because we manufacture in our own Greater Noida factory, you can reorder a matching fluted alabaster wall light years later and get spare parts for 10+ years.

Light & finish

Switch it on and the fluted alabaster wall light throws light up and down, not straight into your eyes. The stone diffuses it, so there is no glare and no hard shadow line.

The upper tube lights the wall and ceiling above. The lower tube washes down. Together they create a tall column of warm light roughly twice the height of the fixture itself.

Unlit, it still earns its place. The pale stone reads almost white against a light wall, and the antique bronze spheres give it weight. The bronze is a deep, warm brown-black — it sits comfortably with wood, brass, leather and stone, and it does not fight a marble or travertine wall.

Vaastu & positive energy

Warm light and natural stone are both well regarded in Vaastu for indoor walls.

The 3000K tone of this fluted alabaster wall light is warm rather than cool, which is generally preferred where you want a calm, welcoming mood — bedrooms, living rooms and entry halls. Alabaster is a natural mineral, so it carries a grounded, earthy quality rather than the harder feel of bare metal or mirror.

The form has no sharp corners. Rounded bronze spheres cap each end, and Vaastu generally favours soft, curved shapes for fixtures mounted at eye level or above.

Common questions

Where does a fluted alabaster wall light work best?

Beside a bed, flanking a sofa or fireplace, along a hallway, or up a staircase. Mount the centre at 140–150 cm from the floor so the up-and-down glow lands at a comfortable height. In a hallway, repeat it every 2–3 metres.

Does the fluted alabaster wall light need a bulb?

No. The LED is integrated — built into the fixture at 3000K warm white. There is no bulb to buy, and nothing to match if you install several.

Will every fluted alabaster wall light look the same?

No, and that is the point. Every piece is cut from natural stone, so veining, colour and the darker edges differ from one to the next. If you are ordering a pair, expect them to be siblings rather than twins.

How far does this alabaster sconce stick out from the wall?

80 mm. That is slim enough for a narrow corridor or a stairwell where a deeper fixture would get knocked.

Is the fluted alabaster wall light suitable for a bathroom?

Not a wet zone. It is rated IP20, which means indoor and dry areas only. Keep it clear of showers and basins — ask us about our IP65 outdoor range if you need something splash-rated.

What warranty comes with this fluted alabaster wall light?

One year. Beyond that, we manufacture in our own Greater Noida factory and hold spare parts for 10+ years, so a replacement stone tube or bronze cap is a reorder rather than a write-off.

Can I get it in a different size or finish?

Yes. Custom sizes and finishes run on a 15–20 day lead time, against 60–120 days for an imported equivalent. Planning a pair, or a full corridor? Tell us the wall dimensions and we will suggest the spacing.
