Candle Wall Light – Glossy Black Stainless Steel Sconce with Clear Borosilicate Glass Tube, 46 cm

Switch it on and a small flame of light rises inside a glass tube. This candle wall light gives your wall the calm of a candle, without the wax or the smoke.

It is a 46 cm candle wall sconce. A clear borosilicate glass tube stands on a glossy black base of 304-grade stainless steel. Inside the tube, an opal borosilicate glass diffuser holds a built-in LED that glows a warm 3000K.

Clear glass, black steel, warm light

Borosilicate glass begins as earth: silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, melted together. It stays crystal-clear, so light passes through it clean.

Our craftsman cuts each tube to length and polishes the rim by hand. The inner diffuser is the same glass with white added while it is made. That is opal borosilicate glass, and it turns a bright LED into a soft candle glow.

Below it, the round collar and square backplate are 304-grade stainless steel with a glossy black finish. When the light is off, the sconce reads as one dark, slim line. When it is on, the lower tube glows and the upper glass catches the light like a chimney.

Where a candle wall light works best

This black wall light is built for walls that need height, not spread. It takes no floor space and adds no clutter.

• Bedroom: one each side of the headboard, at 140–150 cm, so the tube sits above pillow height.
• Hallway and corridor: a pair at 180–200 cm, as in our photos. Light every few steps and the passage has no dark patch.
• Bathroom: beside the mirror, with the backplate centred at about 160–170 cm. It is an IP20 indoor light, so fit it outside the splash zone, away from the shower and basin.
• Drawing room or staircase landing: a single sconce above a console table or beside framed art reads like a piece of the wall. It sits best on dark-toned walls.

Use it with your ceiling light for layered light. Or switch the overhead off and let the candle glow wind the room down for the night.

Light and fitting

The light source is a built-in, candle-style LED. There is no bulb to buy and no E27 or G9 socket to source. It gives 3000K warm white only, soft and glare-free. The LED carries a 1-year warranty on orders from 4 October 2026.

It runs on 220–240 V. It is not dimmable; it gives one fixed warm light. It is rated IP20, for indoor use.

The base, collar and backplate are 304-grade stainless steel in glossy black. They will not rust, with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. Two wall screws hold the backplate. It projects 15.1 cm, so keep about 200 mm clear in front in a narrow corridor.
