Overview
Switch it on and the wall behind your table fills with soft lines of amber light. This fluted pendant light is a slim column of ribbed amber borosilicate glass, 10 cm wide and 30 cm tall, capped with a brushed gold ball. Hang one over a small table, or three in a row over a long one.
Amber borosilicate glass, blown by hand
Borosilicate glass begins as natural raw ingredients: silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. They are melted together, and the amber colour is added while the glass is made.
The shade is hand-blown. Its ribs run from the rounded top down to a soft, scalloped rim. Small differences from one shade to the next are the mark of the hand that made it.
Then the light takes over. The flutes split the glow into fine vertical bands. The glass turns honey-gold, and the wall around it picks up warm stripes of light.
Where does a fluted pendant light work best?
Over a dining table, hang it 75–85 cm above the top. One suits a two- or four-seater. Three in a row light a long six-seater, just like the photos show. See more dining room pendant lights.
Over a kitchen counter or island, 70–75 cm puts the light on your hands without glare.
In the bedroom, hang one beside the bed in place of a table lamp. It also fits a living room reading nook, a hallway niche or a small pooja corner, where its gentle amber glow keeps the space calm.
Want a layered look? Pair it with the Double Glass Pendant Light – Lomelia Gold Dome, or add a cooler note next door with the Matte Black Opal Glass Pendant Light – Calypso Brass. Want a faceted shade in three sizes instead? See our amber glass pendant light.
Light and fitting
The ball, holder and canopy are 304-grade stainless steel with a brushed gold finish. Stainless steel does not rust, and we back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. It covers the steel itself, not the finish, glass or electrics.
The shade hangs on a 120 cm clear-sheathed cable from a 10 cm round canopy. Your electrician shortens it at installation. The maximum overall drop is 159 cm.
It takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included; fit a 3000K warm-white LED of 4–8W. It runs on 220–240V, it is not dimmable, and it is rated IP20 for indoor rooms.

Free 15-min designer consult →Vastu
Vastu tradition places the dining room in the west or north-west of the home, with the family facing east or north as they eat. It asks for daylight by day and soft, warm light in the evening.
Warm tones like yellow and beige are favoured at the table, and wood is said to bring harmony. Amber glass glowing at 3000K sits right in that palette, and it looks at home over a wooden table. Hang it centred over the table, low enough that no bare bulb glares in anyone’s eyes, and keep the room’s corners lit and uncluttered.
Vastu is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right. This light makes no promise of luck. It simply gives your table a warm, steady glow.
Pairs well with: the textured glass pendant light in amber borosilicate glass, 26 cm wide, for a warm amber cluster, or the 25 cm fluted glass pendant light in clear, green or gold-lustre borosilicate glass. Browse all glass pendant lights, all pendant lights, or read how to choose pendant lights for the dining room.
Care
·Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth.
·Spot-clean with a pH-neutral cleaner on a cloth — never spray directly.
·Wipe the stainless steel gently dry after cleaning.
·Avoid abrasives and harsh chemicals.
·Indoor use only unless an IP rating is specified.
·Switch off the circuit before any electrical maintenance.
·Check mounting hardware periodically and tighten if needed.
FAQ
Where does a fluted pendant light look best?
Over a dining table, a kitchen counter or beside the bed. Hang it 75–90 cm above a dining table or 70–80 cm above a counter. Clusters of two to five work well over a long table or island, and it also suits hallway niches and reading nooks.
What bulb does it take, and is a bulb included?
It takes one E27 bulb, and the bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED of 4–8W; that warm tone gives the richest glow through amber borosilicate glass.
Is this light dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
How long is the cable?
It hangs on a 120 cm cable, and your electrician shortens it at installation. The maximum overall drop is 159 cm. Set the shade within your sightline, without blocking eye contact across the table.
Will the metal rust?
No. The ball, holder and canopy are 304-grade stainless steel with a brushed gold finish. They carry a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026; it covers the steel, not the finish.
How is it installed, and how soon will it arrive?
Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we give free video-call support. In stock, it dispatches within 4 working days; made to order takes 12–15 working days. Custom shade sizes, cable lengths and finishes take 15–20 days, and we keep spares for 10+ years.

- May 12, 2026
It fits well near the seating area without looking too heavy. The warm finish is easy to match.
- June 15, 2023
The size feels right above the counter, and it does not overpower the space as a hanging fixture.
