Rattan Flower Pendant Light – Handwoven Bloom Shade, 30 cm

Switch it on and a flower opens over your table. Warm light slips between the petals and lays a soft floral pattern across your ceiling.

This flower pendant light is our rattan flower pendant light: two tiers of handwoven cane petals, 30 cm across and 26 cm tall. The upper petals curve down like a bloom. A smaller ring of petals sits beneath them, so the bulb is hidden from every side.

Rattan and cane, woven by hand

Rattan is a climbing palm. Cane is the tough outer skin of its stem. Both belong to our fibre family: material grown by nature, not pressed from a mould.

Our craftsman weaves the cane into an open lattice, shapes each petal over a 304-grade stainless steel frame, and binds every edge in a soft olive-brown trim. Each petal is bent and set by hand, so no two flowers sit exactly alike.

Unlit, it reads as a warm honey-beige bloom. Lit, light passes through every gap in the weave. It goes down onto your table and out through the petals, so you get task light and a gentle room glow at once.

Where a flower pendant light works best

• Over a dining table: hang a pair 60–70 cm apart over a rectangular table, about 75–80 cm above the top.
• Over a kitchen island or breakfast counter: hang one or two at 70–75 cm above the counter for light where your hands work.
• In a living room: one bloom over a round side table or reading chair gives the corner a warm focal point.
• Beside the bed: hung low instead of a bedside lamp, it keeps your table free and the glow soft.

At 30 cm it suits small and mid-size rooms. For a long table or a high ceiling, cluster two to five at staggered heights. It sits well with teak and oak furniture, white walls, linen and jute. It suits boho and natural rooms.

Light, fitting and the steel that holds it

The petals sit on a 304-grade stainless steel frame. The top cap and the round ceiling canopy are 304-grade stainless steel in a matte black finish. Stainless steel does not rust, and it carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.

It takes one E27 bulb (E26/E27), up to 60 W. The bulb is not included. Fit a 6–8 W, 3000K warm-white LED for the honey glow in the photos. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm light.

It runs on 220–240 V and is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms. Cane can warp in damp air, so keep it out of bathrooms and outdoors.

It hangs on a 1.5 m black cord, the standard length, shortened at installation to the drop you want. In walkways, keep the shade base about 210–220 cm from the floor. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we give free video-call support while they do.
