Opaline Glass Pendant Light – Round 30 cm, Brushed Gold

Some lights shout. This one glows. Our opaline glass pendant light turns one bulb into a soft, even wash of white light. Hang it over your dining table, beside your bed or above a kitchen counter.

The shade is a flattened round of opal borosilicate glass, 30 cm wide and 11.3 cm tall. It hangs from a slim brushed gold holder of 304-grade stainless steel, on a black cable you can set up to 100 cm long.

What is opal borosilicate glass, and why does it glow like this?

Opal borosilicate glass starts as sand. It is melted with minerals that turn it milk-white instead of clear.

That milkiness is the whole point. Light doesn’t shoot straight through. It spreads inside the glass, so the whole shade glows as one calm surface, with no harsh rings and no glare.

From the side, you never see the bulb. From below, you see a soft circle of light through the 9.2 cm opening at the base. That is exactly where the light falls — on your table.

Where does a 30 cm opal pendant work best?

Over a dining table. Hang it 75–90 cm above the top. Every meal feels a little more considered. For a long table, cluster two to five in a row.

Over a kitchen island or counter. Hang it 70–80 cm above the surface. Two or three in a row give an even, glare-free glow across the counter.

In the living room. Hang it over a side table or a reading chair for a quiet point of light. It also suits hallways, reading nooks, breakfast corners and café counters.

Light and fitting: what you get, and what you add

It takes one E27 bulb, LED or incandescent, up to 40 W. The bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED of 5–8 W for the softest, most energy-saving glow.

Every metal part is 304-grade stainless steel in a brushed gold finish. That is the 4.2 cm × 15 cm holder sleeve and the 10 cm round canopy. It will not rust. You get a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. The finish is made to hold its colour in humid coastal homes and dry inland ones alike.

It runs on 220–240V and is rated IP20, so it is for indoor rooms. The canopy carries an earth connection. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we give you free video-call support while they do.
