Glass Globe Pendant Light – Bola 15 cm Opal Bedside Pendant, E27

A small moon beside your bed. Our glass globe pendant light is a 15 cm opal glass globe that glows warm and even, with no glare and no visible bulb. Hang one over each nightstand and the bedside corner turns into the calmest spot in the room.

The globe hangs from a slim chrome stem of 304-grade stainless steel, strung with black beads. Small, quiet, and 38 cm tall from the top bead to the base of the globe.

What is opal borosilicate glass, and why does it glow like this?

Borosilicate glass starts as earth: silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, melted together. It is clear and pure by nature.

For this globe, white colour is added while the glass is made. That is what makes it opal borosilicate glass. Light does not shoot straight through it. It spreads inside the glass, so the whole globe glows as one soft ball of light.

In our Greater Noida factory, a craftsman checks each globe, fits it to the stainless steel stem and beads, and wires it by hand. Then it is ready for your electrician.

Where does a 15 cm glass globe pendant work best?

Beside your bed. Hang one over each nightstand, 55–65 cm above the mattress. Paired pendants look cleaner than table lamps, and your bedside table stays free for a book and a glass of water.

In a reading nook or living room corner. Drop it low over a side table or a console. It gives a quiet point of light right where you sit.

In a hallway. Keep the bottom of the globe at least 200 cm above the floor so no one walks into it.

Over a kitchen island or café counter. Hang it 70–75 cm above the surface. Cluster two or three for an even, shadow-free spread of light. Over a long dining table, a row of three does the same.

Light and fitting: what you get, and what you add

It takes one E27 bulb (E26/E27 compatible), up to 60 W. The bulb is not included. Fit a 6–9 W warm-white LED at 3000K. A round G80 bulb sits especially well inside the globe.

Every metal part is 304-grade stainless steel. The stem shown is in a chrome finish. We also make it with a matte black stem, or with walnut beads. Just ask when you order.

Stainless steel will not rust. You get a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. It covers rusting of the steel, not the finish, glass or electrics.

It hangs from a slim ceiling canopy on Teflon-coated copper wire, 1.5 m long as standard. Your electrician shortens it at installation to the drop you want.

It runs on 220–240V and is rated IP20, so it is for indoor rooms. It is not dimmable. It gives a fixed, warm 3000K light with a warm-white LED.
