Know your light
This oval alabaster wall light hangs a hand-cut stone pebble from a looped bronze arm, with two slim bronze rods dropping below it. At 53 cm tall and 18 cm wide it holds a wall on its own, and it looks deliberate in pairs. The stone glows warm and even, with no visible lamp.
Where it fits
An oval alabaster wall light suits the places where a lamp would be in the way.
- Flanking a mirror: A pair either side gives even light across the face — no shadow under the eyes, unlike a light overhead.
- Inside an arched niche: The vertical form fills a tall recess the way a picture cannot.
- Beside a bed: Mount at 140-150 cm and it takes the place of a bedside lamp.
- Hallways and stairwells: Repeat it along a wall for rhythm rather than one bright ceiling point.
Why you will use it every day
The shape is doing something specific. It is not just decoration.
The stone on this oval alabaster wall light sits low, roughly at eye height when mounted properly, so the glow reaches your face rather than the ceiling. The two bronze rods below carry the eye down and make a 53 cm fixture read as taller than it is.
Hand-cut from natural alabaster — which means no two are alike. The veins run differently. The colour shifts. The edges darken where the stone is denser. Light it up and you get a glow that belongs to your piece and nothing else. One block of stone. One light. Never repeated.
The metalwork is where the cost shows. The looped arm is a single continuous bend, not two pieces welded, and the antique bronze is a warm brown-black that deepens rather than yellows.
We build it in our own Greater Noida factory and hold spare parts for 10+ years, so a replacement stone years from now is a reorder rather than a search.
Light & finish
Lit, the oval reads as a single soft mass of light. The stone diffuses everything, so there is no bright point and no glare from any angle you would normally stand at.
The glow is warmest through the thinner parts of the stone and deeper where the veining runs, which is what stops it looking like a plastic panel. Around it, the bronze picks up just enough light to separate the fixture from the wall behind.
Unlit, it still works. Pale honey stone against dark bronze is a strong contrast on a plaster, travertine or lime-washed wall, and the silhouette is clean enough that it does not clutter a small room.
Vaastu & positive energy
Natural stone and warm light are both well regarded in Vaastu for indoor walls.
Alabaster is a mineral pulled from the earth, so an oval alabaster wall light carries a grounded quality that painted metal does not. Warm light is generally preferred in bedrooms, sitting rooms and entrances, where you want calm rather than alertness.
The form is entirely curved. The loop, the oval, the rounded rod ends — there is not a sharp corner on it, and rounded shapes are the ones Vaastu tends to favour for fittings at head height.

Common questions
Where does an oval alabaster wall light work best?
Either side of a mirror, inside an arched niche, beside a bed, or repeated along a hallway. Mount the stone at roughly 150 cm from the floor so the glow lands at face height rather than above your head.
Is this sold as a single light or a pair?
A single light. The price is for one oval alabaster wall light — some of our photos show two mounted together, but each is bought individually. Order two if you want a matched pair flanking a mirror or fireplace.
Will every oval alabaster wall light look the same?
No. Each oval is cut from natural stone, so veining, colour and the darker patches differ between pieces. If you order a pair, expect them to be siblings rather than identical twins.
Can I use the oval alabaster wall light in a bathroom?
Beside a vanity mirror in a dry, well-ventilated bathroom, yes. It is rated IP20, so keep it away from the shower and out of reach of direct splashing. For wet zones, ask us about our IP65 range.
How much wall does it need?
53 cm tall and 18 cm wide. Allow about 60 cm of clear wall so the drop rods are not crowded by a shelf or a skirting detail.
Can I get the oval alabaster wall light in a different size or finish?
Yes. We manufacture in-house, so stone size, rod length and metal finish can all change. Custom runs take 15-20 days against 60-120 days for an imported equivalent.
Does the oval alabaster wall light need a bulb?
No. The LED is integrated at 8 W and 3000K warm white, built into the fixture. There is nothing to buy, nothing to match if you install a pair, and no visible lamp behind the stone.
How do I clean the stone?
Dry microfibre cloth for dust. For marks, a barely damp cloth, dried straight after — natural alabaster should never be left wet or cleaned with anything acidic. Planning a pair either side of a mirror? Send us the mirror width and we will tell you the right spacing.
