Wall-Mounted Bedside Reading Light – Swing-Arm LED Sconce in Black & Gold

You want to read one more chapter. Your partner wants to sleep. This wall reading lamp lets you both have your way.

It gives you two lights in one slim piece. A small round reading head throws a tight pool of warm light onto your page. A slot along the top of the 30 cm backplate washes the wall above with a soft glow. Each light has its own switch, on the underside of the backplate.

The reading head sits on a short pivot arm and swings through 320°. Aim it at your book, at the desk, or away into the corner when you’re done. Choose matte black or satin gold.

Steel that carries the light

There is no stone or wood in this piece. It is all structure, and the structure is 304-grade stainless steel. It is the steel we use for every metal part we make.

In our Greater Noida factory, the steel is cut and shaped into a clean 5 cm backplate bar. The 14 cm reading tube is fitted to its pivot by hand and wired to its own switch. Then comes the finish: a fine-textured matte black, or a satin gold where you can still see the brush lines in the steel. Both are PVD-coated on the stainless steel itself.

Switch it on and the steel almost disappears. What you see is light: a bright circle on your book, a warm fan up the wall.

Stainless steel does not rust. So we back it with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026, under our Legal Policies.

Is this a good wall lamp for the bedroom?

Yes. It was made for the bedside. Fit one on each side of the headboard and both of you get your own reading light, each on its own switch. The pair looks finished, like a good hotel room.

It frees your nightstand completely. No lamp base, no cord across the table, no shade to knock over.

It works just as well over a desk or console in a study, or beside an armchair in a reading corner. A study alcove or a hallway reading nook suits it too. You can fix the backplate across the wall or run it upright; both look neat.

Light, fitting and how high to mount it

The light is an integrated LED in 3000K warm white, about 300 lumens in all. That is enough to read without eye strain, and soft enough not to flood the room. There is no bulb to buy or change. The LED is rated for 25,000+ hours, roughly 17 years at 4 hours a day.

The LED module carries a 1-year warranty on orders from 4 October 2026 (Legal Policies 4.1B). When it finally wears out, we can replace the module.

The light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed, warm 3000K light, and the two switches let you choose the reading spot, the wall glow, or both.

It runs on 220–240V and is hardwired to the wall box through the backplate. It is rated IP20, for indoor use.

For bedside reading, mount it 140–150 cm from the floor. That puts the head at a comfortable angle when you sit up in bed. Over a desk or in a reading nook, 160–170 cm works better.
