Know your light
The Melange is a linear alabaster wall light carved from natural alabaster and set in a brass-finish metal frame. Shaped as a slim elongated capsule with softly rounded ends, it stands 50 cm tall and 10 cm wide — a minimal vertical line that suits narrow wall runs, headboards and hallways without dominating the space. Two warm light points, one at the top and one at the bottom, glow through the translucent stone so the unique grey-and-white veining of each piece becomes part of the light itself. Where it fits
- Beside a headboard: Mount a matched pair either side of the bed to replace table lamps, freeing up nightstand space and keeping the bedroom clean and calm.

Why you’ll use it every day
The alabaster turns two small bulbs into a soft, even glow instead of a hard point of light — easy on tired eyes when you are winding down at night. Beside a bed it gives just enough light to read or check your phone without flooding the room or waking a partner. Hand-cut from natural alabaster — which means no two are alike. The veins run differently. The colour shifts. The edges darken where the stone is denser. Light it up and you get a glow that belongs to your piece and nothing else. One block of stone. One light. Never repeated.
Light & finish
Unlit, the stone is a pale grey-white with fine natural veining — no two pieces are identical. When lit, the alabaster becomes a luminous column: warm light pools softly through the stone with a gentle up-and-down wash on the wall behind. The brass-finish metal frame and backplate read as warm gold against marble, beige, cream or walnut interiors, keeping the look luxurious without being heavy.

This seller has really good lamps. I also ordered from another seller (sent it back) and had the opportunity to compare the materials. So the stone here is thick and heavy. One lamp looks like 100% natural stone. And in the other one, if you look closely, you can see many round shapes, which are unlikely to be found in nature in such quantities. But since the lamp is hanging on the wall, this is not noticeable. I highly recommend it!
