Overview
Picture a long dinner under a bamboo pendant light that throws soft stripes of light across the table and walls. This one is big: a 43-inch (about 109 cm) flared shade of natural bamboo rods, 15 inches (about 38 cm) tall. It hangs from a matte black 304-grade stainless steel canopy on 1.5 m of wire. E27 holder, bulb not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED.
Bamboo, bent and bound by hand
Bamboo belongs to our wood family. It grows tall and fast, and it stays strong and light.
Our craftsman bends each rod into a slow curve. Then he binds the rods to their rings by hand, one wrap at a time, so the shade flares out in tiers like a wide hat.
Switch it on and light slips through every gap between the rods. The bamboo turns honey-gold, and its shadow fans out across your ceiling and walls.
Where this bamboo pendant light works best
Centre it over a large dining table, 75–90 cm above the top. One unit covers a six-to-eight seater. For a longer table, hang two in a row.
It also works over a kitchen island, above lounge seating in the living room, in a double-height entryway, or over a café counter. Anywhere you want one bold, natural focal point.
The matte black canopy gives the natural bamboo a clean, modern edge. So it sits as easily in a city apartment as in a coastal or boho room.

Light and fitting
This is a mood light, not a task light. The open rods spread a warm, dappled glow, never a harsh beam straight down.
The canopy and holder are 304-grade stainless steel in a matte black finish. Steel that will not rust: a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
It takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included; we suggest a 3000K warm-white LED of 8–12 W. It runs on 220–240V. It is not dimmable. It is rated IP20, for indoor use.
Any licensed electrician can fit it in 20–30 minutes. We also give free video-call support while you install.

Vastu
Vastu tradition asks for soft, warm light in the evening where a family eats, and a well-lit room with no dark corners. A single warm-white pendant centred over the table does exactly that.
Vastu also favours natural materials, wood above all, for the dining space. Bamboo is a wood-family material, and its open weave lets warm 3000K light pass gently, without glare in anyone’s eyes. Many Vastu guides suggest placing the dining area in the west or north-west of the home, with the family facing east or north while eating.
