Overview
This rattan pendant light brings the warmth of natural craft straight into your home — a shaggy, artisan-woven shade made from hundreds of individual undyed rattan strands in a soft, cocoon-like silhouette approximately 35 cm in diameter. Every rattan pendant light from Jagmag Lights is handmade in India by skilled artisans, which means no two pieces look exactly alike. The deliberately imperfect, wabi-sabi finish gives this shade an organic, living presence that hard-edged geometric fixtures simply cannot replicate, and it fills any room with soft, dappled ambient glow from the moment you switch it on.
Where it fits
A rattan pendant light this textural is equally at home above a dining table as it is over a kitchen island, in a reading nook, or along a hallway that needs a natural, eye-catching focal point. It is also a beautiful choice as a single bedside pendant in a bedroom with earthy or japandi-inspired décor, or as an accent light above a café counter or studio workspace. For a different natural-fibre mood, explore our Woven Pendant Light – Handwound Raffia Cone, 16-Inch or the layered drum shape of the Japanese Rattan Pendant Light – Handwoven 40 cm Layered Drum, 2 Finishes.
Why you’ll use it every day
Unlike a hard geometric shade that throws a defined cone of light, this rattan pendant light softens and diffuses light by filtering it through hundreds of loosely woven natural strands — the result is a gentle, dappled pool of warmth rather than a harsh directional beam. Hang it as a single statement above a round dining table, cluster two or three units over a long rectangular kitchen island, or use it as a calming bedside alternative to a table lamp. The rattan pendant light adapts to minimalist, bohemian, coastal, and japandi-inspired interiors with equal ease.
Light & finish
The Nukano rattan pendant light uses an E27 socket and performs beautifully with a warm-white LED bulb rated 2700–3000 K and 6–10 W — no harsh glare, just a gentle, enveloping glow. Light filters through the woven strands in a soft, shifting pattern with no hard shadows on walls or ceiling. The hanging hardware is finished in matte black metal, providing a clean contemporary contrast to the natural undyed beige of the shade. The adjustable cord lets you set the exact drop length to suit your ceiling height.

Vaastu
In Vaastu Shastra, a pendant positioned directly over the dining table encourages togetherness and strengthens the family’s collective energy during meals. The warm 3000 K glow from this rattan pendant light is ideally suited to the north-east or south-east sectors of your home, where clarity and positive flow are most auspicious. Natural materials like handwoven rattan are considered grounding elements that connect a space to earth energy — replacing the sterile sharpness of artificial lighting with something that feels warm, alive, and nurturing.

FAQ
Where does a rattan pendant light look best?
Over a kitchen island at 70–75 cm above the counter, above a dining table at 75–90 cm, or clustered in threes over a long table. It also works beautifully in bedroom corners and reading nooks.
What bulb does this rattan pendant light use?
It uses an E27 socket. We recommend a warm-white LED bulb at 2700–3000 K, 6–10 W for the best ambient effect and to highlight the natural texture of the shade.
How low should I hang this rattan pendant light?
Hang 70–80 cm above a kitchen counter or table surface; adjust the cord to suit your ceiling height.
Can I cluster multiple rattan pendant light units?
Yes — clusters of 2–5 work beautifully over long dining tables or kitchen islands. Contact Jagmag for cluster pricing and installation tips.
Can I customise this rattan pendant light in a different size or finish?
Yes — Jagmag manufactures in-house. Custom finishes and diameters are available on request.
Does this rattan pendant light come with installation support?
Yes — free video call support from Jagmag. Any electrician can install it in 20–30 minutes.
Is a bulb included?
No. This light takes a E27 bulb and the bulb is supplied separately, so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature you want. We only include the light source when it is a built-in LED that cannot be replaced by the user.
