Travertine Half-Moon Wall Light – Uplight Sconce, 20 cm

Switch it on and a soft half-moon of light rises up your wall. This moon wall light is a half-bowl of real travertine stone, 20 cm wide and 13 cm tall. One E27 bulb sits inside the open top. The light fans up the wall in a warm arc, while the stone face stays calm and textured. Where the stone is thinnest, tiny points of light glow through its natural pits.

Want the light to fall instead? Fit it the other way up and it becomes a downlight over a console or a bedside table.

Real travertine, shaped by hand

Travertine is stone formed beneath the earth, laid down layer by layer by mineral springs. That is why it carries pits, bands and soft cream-beige tones.

Our craftsman in Greater Noida reads each piece before shaping it. He cuts the half-bowl, hones the face smooth to the touch, and leaves the natural pits open. We don’t fill them. They are what make the stone travertine.

Switch it on and the stone shows its character. The wall above takes a warm wash. The thinner spots glow like embers. No two lights look the same, because no two pieces of stone are the same.

Where a half-moon wall light works best

• Bedrooms. Above a bedside table, or a pair either side of the headboard. The light goes onto the wall, not into your eyes.
• Hallways and entrances. A pair flanking artwork or a mirror above a console.
• Living rooms. A warm wash on a plaster or limewash wall beside an armchair or reading corner.
• Japandi, wabi-sabi and warm-minimal rooms. It sits well with plaster, limewash, oak, linen, rattan and other natural stone.

It gives accent and ambient light, not the main light for a room. For a bedroom, a pair is usually all you need in the evening.

Light and fitting

It takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included; fit a 3000K warm-white LED, which brings out the honey tones in the stone. It is not dimmable and gives a fixed warm light.

It is a hardwired wall light for indoor, dry rooms, rated IP20. The wall bracket and fixings are 304-grade stainless steel, with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we give free video-call support while you install.
