Gold LED Wall Light – Thin 50 cm Acrylic Tube Sconce for Bedside

This thin wall light is our gold wall light: one 50 cm opal acrylic tube, held in two slim loops of 304-grade stainless steel with a gold finish. It is only 12 cm wide, so it fits the narrow strip of wall beside a headboard, a doorway or a stair. The integrated 3000K warm-white LED runs the full length of the tube. No bulb to buy.

Steel shaped by hand, light spread by the tube

The frame is 304-grade stainless steel. Our craftsman bends one rod into a loop at the top and another at the bottom, then sets an oval plate on a narrow backplate between them. The whole frame is finished in gold and polished to a mid-gloss: warmer than chrome, less yellow than traditional brass.

Stainless steel does not rust, so the gold frame stays clean in a bedroom or a humid hallway for years.

The tube is opal acrylic, a milky white that spreads light evenly from end to end. Switch it on and the column glows soft and even, with no dark spots at the top and no bright flare in the middle. The oval plate behind it catches the light and washes the wall on both sides.

Where a thin wall light works best

• Beside the bed: centre the tube 130–140 cm from the floor. That is a comfortable height when you sit up to read, and the opal tube keeps glare out of your eyes. Fit one on each side of the headboard for a balanced pair. Browse more bedroom wall lights.

It sits well with warm wood furniture, a linen headboard, natural plaster walls and teak side tables. It suits modern minimalist, contemporary, Scandinavian, Japandi and mid-century modern rooms. Skip it in very ornate classical rooms, or on tiled walls that are hard to drill.

Light and fitting

The LED is built into the tube: an integrated 3000K warm-white LED, a soft and restful white for the evening. It is rated for about 50,000 hours, which covers years of nightly use.

This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light. It runs on 220–240 V and is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.

It is hardwired through the backplate, which fixes to the wall with two screws and covers the wiring junction. The looped frame holds the tube about 12 cm from the wall, so keep 20 cm clear in front of it. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we give free video-call support while they do.

Tidy too: it takes no floor space, there is no table lamp to knock over at night, and no cord across your bedside table.
