Overview
Switch it on and the whole wall changes. This art deco brass wall sconce throws warm light up and down at once, and real stone glows between the lines of its frame. It is 45 cm wide, 32.5 cm tall and sits just 15 cm off the wall.
It is one of our art deco wall lights built on a stepped, tiered lattice. Cream alabaster panels and dark natural black marble strips sit side by side in a 304-grade stainless steel frame. The frame wears a brushed brass PVD finish. Three E14 holders hide behind the stone.
Real alabaster and black marble, set panel by panel
Both materials come from the stone family. Alabaster is stone formed beneath the earth. Marble is stone that carries its veins for life.
Our craftsman reads each slab before he cuts it. Where do the veins run? Which piece goes in front, which goes behind? Then every panel is cut to its slot and set into the lattice by hand, one tier at a time.
Light the sconce and the two stones behave in opposite ways. The alabaster glows warm from inside, and its soft veins show. The black marble stays dark, with fine white lines, so the pattern reads clearly whether the light is on or off. No two sconces have the same veining, because no two slabs do.
Where an art deco wall light works best
- Living-room feature wall. At 45 cm wide it reads as a centrepiece, not a filler. Hang it over a console, or flank a fireplace, a large mirror or a painting.
- Beside the bed. Mount a pair for a calm, symmetrical wall and a nightstand left completely free. The stone softens the bulbs, so you can read without lighting up the whole room.
- Hallway, entrance and staircase. The 15 cm projection keeps the path clear. The up-and-down wash lights art or objects below and lifts the ceiling above.
It suits art deco, Mission, transitional and hotel-style rooms. It looks right against dark feature walls, warm plaster, wood panelling, marble and velvet or linen upholstery.

Light and fitting
The frame, top plate and fixings are 304-grade stainless steel with a brushed brass PVD finish. Unlit, it reads as warm antique gold. Stainless steel does not rust, and we back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
It takes three E14 bulbs, up to 40 W each. Bulbs are not included; fit 3000K warm-white LED filament bulbs. The light is not dimmable. It runs on 220–240V and is rated IP20, for indoor dry rooms only.
It is a hardwired fitting on a standard wall backbox. Mount the centre at 150–165 cm from the floor on a living-room or hallway wall, or at 120–135 cm beside a bed, just above the headboard. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we help free on a video call.

Vastu tradition favours warm white light in living rooms and bedrooms, and soft light over harsh, direct glare. This sconce gives exactly that: three warm 3000K sources behind stone, washing the wall instead of shining in your eyes.
The tradition also asks for even light with no dark corners, and well-lit paths to the entrance and the stairs. North and east walls are the favoured places for light fixtures; keep the south-east for gentler light. Natural stone brings the earth element into the room, and warm light brings fire.

Are the panels real stone?
Yes. The glowing panels are natural alabaster and the dark strips are natural black marble. Both are real stone, cut and set by hand, not a print or a painted effect.
How big is this wall sconce, and will it suit my room?
It is 45 cm wide, 32.5 cm tall and projects 15 cm from the wall. It weighs about 4.5 kg and suits rooms from 3 m × 3 m with ceilings of 2.7 m or more.
What bulbs does it use, and are they included?
