Some lights you notice only when they are on. This small bedroom table lamp you notice all day. Its wooden base opens like a bud: four curved ribs around a bright gold inner face. Switch it on and the gold glows warm inside the base, while the linen shade softens the light for your bedside.

The base begins as wood. Our craftsman in Greater Noida shapes four ribs that curve out from the neck and meet again at a round foot.

Then comes the surface. He works the outside into a dark copper-brown texture, rough to the touch, like bark. The inner faces get a bright gold finish, so the light has something to catch.

The texture is made by hand, one pass at a time. So no two bases come out quite the same.

What the light does with linen and gold

Linen is a fibre from the flax plant, woven into cloth. Light passes through the weave and comes out soft and even, with no glare in your eyes.

Below the shade, the open ribs let the glow fall onto the gold inside. The base itself seems lit from within. You get a warm pool of light for a few pages of a book, and a soft glow for the minutes before sleep.

Where it fits in your home

At 62.5 cm tall with a 28 cm shade, this small bedroom table lamp sits easily on a standard bedside table. The base is only 17 cm wide, so there is still room for your book, phone and a glass of water.

Light, bulb and fitting

The lamp takes one E27 bulb, up to 100W. The bulb is not included. Fit an 8W warm-white LED at 3000K. It gives about 700 lumens and brings out the gold inside the base. Cool white or daylight bulbs flatten both colours.

The stem that carries the lampholder is 304-grade stainless steel. It comes with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026 (see our Legal Policies). The switch sits on the bronze-tone lampholder, and the lamp runs on a brown braided silk cord at 220–240V.
