Overview
Some evenings run long. A retro study lamp keeps them calm: warm light on your page, a clean line on your desk, and a shape that has never gone out of style. This one is a round matte black disc on a slim gold stem, with a pull chain you can find without looking.
A retro study lamp in black and gold steel
The disc is 35 cm across and the lamp stands 49 cm tall. Under the disc sit three G9 holders and a white diffuser. The bulbs stay hidden, and the light falls straight down.
Your book, your notebook, your laptop keys: lit. Your eyes: left alone.
A polished gold cap crowns the disc. The same gold runs down the stem to a round, heavy-looking base with a small black ring set in it, echoing the shade above. It reads mid-century. It works in a home of today.
Steel from the earth, shaped by hand
Every part of this lamp is 304-grade stainless steel. Steel starts as ore in the earth. In our Greater Noida factory, our team cuts the disc, rolls its edge, turns the stem and base, and joins them true.
Then the finishes go on, one surface at a time: matte black on the shade, polished gold on the cap, stem and base. Steel is the quiet frame here, and it is built to stay. It will not rust, and we back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
Switch it on and the black disc goes dark against the room, while a soft pool of warm light gathers on the table below. That contrast is what a retro study lamp is for.
Where this retro study lamp works best

Light and fitting
The lamp takes three G9 bulbs, which are not included. Fit 4–6 W warm-white 3000K G9 LED capsules for a cosy, focused light. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm light.
The pull chain on the stem turns it on and off. It plugs into a normal home socket, so there is no wiring to do. It is made for indoor rooms (IP20) and runs on 220–240V. Need help setting up? We give free video-call support.

Yes. The 35 cm disc hides the bulbs and throws warm light down onto your book or laptop, not into your eyes. Fit 3000K warm-white G9 LEDs for a calm, even light.
Which bulbs does it need?
It takes three G9 bulbs, which are not included. Fit 4–6 W warm-white 3000K G9 LED capsules.
Is it dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
Will the steel rust?
No. Every metal part is 304-grade stainless steel, with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. The warranty covers the steel itself, not the finish.
