Brass Desk Lamp – Adjustable Black & Gold Balance-Arm Spot, 48 cm

This brass desk lamp was designed for people who want precise task light without sacrificing style. Built on a counterbalanced balance arm that extends to 60 cm, the brass desk lamp lets you swing its frosted cylindrical spot exactly where it is needed — over a drawing, an open book, or a keyboard — and fold the arm back to reclaim the surface when you are done. Standing 48 cm tall on a weighted matte black disc base, it pairs a matte black metal frame and arm with a brushed-gold finish metal spot head for a look that works in modern, industrial, and eclectic interiors alike. The result is a brass desk lamp that earns its space on any desk or bedside table. If you want a black desk lamp with a touch of gold at the head, this is the one.

Where it fits

The brass desk lamp is purpose-built for desks and worktables — a study desk in a bedroom, a home office writing table, an architect’s drawing table, or a bedside reading setup where you want directed light you can aim and re-aim. Its slim, articulated silhouette does not crowd the surface the way a wide-shade lamp would, so it works equally well in tight spaces. If you want a warmer ambient companion to this brass desk lamp, consider the Art Deco Brass Table Lamp for glowing fill light, or the Black Gold Table Lamp with Drum Shade for a diffused drum-shade glow that complements the brass and black palette.

Why you’ll use it every day

What makes a brass desk lamp worth the counter space is how it fits around your work, not the other way around. The counterbalanced arm stays exactly where you set it — no slow drift, no readjusting every hour. The tilting spot head lets you direct the frosted beam downward for close work or angle it slightly upward for gentler ambient fill. The inline on/off switch on the cord sits within reach, so there is no fumbling under a shade. A 5–7W GU10 LED at 3000K gives you warm, glare-softened task light that does not cause eye strain through long evening work sessions. This brass desk lamp is built for daily, all-day use.

Light & finish

This brass desk lamp takes a GU10 bulb (not included). A 5–7W warm-white LED at 3000K is recommended — it delivers focused, soft-edged task light with enough warmth to feel comfortable during long evening sessions, without the cold, clinical tone of a daylight bulb. The frosted diffuser lens inside the cylindrical spot spreads the beam just enough to eliminate harsh central hot spots. On the finish: the matte black metal frame and arm resist fingerprints and casual dust, while the brushed-gold finish metal spot head adds warmth to both the lamp’s appearance and its light. IP20 rated for dry indoor use.
