Overview
Rings of burl wood, each one swirling with its own knots, stacked between bands of antique brass finish under a finely pleated cream shade. This pleated shade table lamp stands 63.5 cm (25 in) tall, with a shade 43 cm (17 in) across. It takes an E27 bulb.
Switch it on and the pleats glow in fine warm lines, like light through folded paper. Light falls onto the burl below and brings out every swirl in the grain.
Burl wood and brass, shaped by hand
Burl is the rounded growth that forms on a tree’s trunk over many years. Its grain twists into knots and swirls instead of running straight, so no two pieces ever look the same.
Our craftsman turns the burl into rings and stacks them on the column, setting a band of 304-grade stainless steel in an antique brass finish between each one. The column stands on a flared brass-finish foot and ends in a brass-finish cap.
The shade is cream fabric folded into fine, even pleats around a tapered frame, finished with a small brass-finish knob on top.
Wood that grew slowly into its own pattern, steel shaped by hand, and light that shows both. That is what makes a pleated shade table lamp like this feel like an heirloom from the first day.

Light and fitting
This pleated shade table lamp takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white E27 LED for the glow you see in the photos.
It is not dimmable. It gives one steady, warm light. It plugs into a 220–240V wall socket, so there is nothing to wire: fit the bulb, place the shade and switch it on. If you want a hand, we help free on a video call.
The brass-finish bands, foot and cap are 304-grade stainless steel, so they will never rust. You get a lifetime warranty against rusting on the steel, for orders from 4 October 2026. We make every part ourselves, including the pleated shade, so one broken part never means a new lamp. Even 10 years from now, you can buy just that part from us.
