Overview
A slim column of real wood, bright brass-finish fittings and a soft cream shade that glows like old paper. This classic table lamp stands 52 cm (20.5 in) tall. The shade is 30 cm (11.8 in) across and the round wooden base is 16 cm (6.3 in). It takes an E27 bulb.
Switch it on and the shade turns warm cream, with fine seams running down it like the ribs of an umbrella. Light falls softly onto the table below.
Wood, brass and fabric, shaped by hand
The column and base are real wood in a deep walnut tone. Our craftsman turns the wood on a lathe, smooths it by hand and finishes it so the grain still shows through.
The stem, the collar at the base and the small finial on top are 304-grade stainless steel in a brushed brass finish. They catch the light and frame the wood at both ends.
The shade is cream fabric stretched over a frame in soft panels, each one joined by a fine piped seam. It is fabric, so it diffuses the bulb into an even, gentle glow with no glare.

- Bedside. At 52 cm, this classic table lamp sits at the right height beside a bed, and the shade keeps the bulb out of your eyes.
- Sideboard or console. In a hall or a dining room, it gives a warm pool of light at table height.
- Living room side table. Next to a sofa or an armchair, it is a calm reading light for the evening.
- Study or guest room. Its traditional shape suits heritage furniture, dark wood and brass handles.
It suits teak and walnut furniture, cream and white walls, linen and printed cotton. A pair either side of a bed looks balanced and finished.
Light and fitting
This classic table lamp takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white E27 LED for the glow you see in the photos.
It is not dimmable. It gives one steady warm light, so choose your bulb for the mood you want. It plugs into a 220–240V wall socket on a 3 m (118 in) cable, long enough to reach a socket behind most bedside tables. The lamp weighs about 1.9 kg (4.2 lb).
The brass-finish parts are 304-grade stainless steel, so they will never rust. You get a lifetime warranty against rusting on the steel. Spare parts, including the shade, stay available for 10+ years.
