Overview
A wide ivory shade, folded into deep box pleats with a soft scalloped edge, on a slim antique brass stem and round base. This pleated shade lamp stands 160 cm (63 in) tall. Its shade is 57 cm (22.4 in) across and 23 cm (9 in) deep, and the base is 25 cm (9.8 in) wide.
Switch it on and the pleats glow in soft bands of light, brighter where the fabric folds thin. Light spills down the stem and pools warm on the floor.
Pleated by hand, finished in antique brass
The shade starts as one long strip of ivory fabric. Our craftsman folds it into even box pleats, stitches each fold at the top and lets the bottom open into rounded scallops, like the hem of a skirt.
The stem and base are 304-grade stainless steel in an antique brass finish, with a lifetime rust warranty. The darker, aged tone suits the soft fabric and keeps the lamp from looking too new.
A switch sits on the cord near the floor, so this floor lamp with switch can be turned on with your foot or hand without reaching up.
Where this pleated shade lamp works

- Reading corners and studies. The 57 cm shade throws a wide circle of light onto a chair.

Light and fitting
This pleated shade lamp takes one standard E27 screw bulb. The bulb is not included; fit a 3000K warm white LED for the soft golden glow in the photos. It is not dimmable, plugs into a 220–240V wall socket and is made for indoor use (IP20).
Your pleated shade lamp weighs about 6–9 kg, so it stands steady on its 25 cm base. Dust the pleats with a soft, dry brush and wipe the stem with a dry cloth. Spare parts, including the shade, stay available for 10+ years.
