Overview
Two cones of metal meeting at a ball, finished in deep, rubbed bronze, under a wide shade of natural linen. This metal table lamp stands 66 cm (26 in) tall, and its shade is 45 cm (17.7 in) across. Its hourglass shape gives a classic outline that suits both old and new rooms.
Switch it on and the linen glows warm. Light falls in a wide circle over the table and catches the soft sheen of the bronze finish below.
Bronze-finish steel and linen, shaped by hand
The base is 304-grade stainless steel. Our craftsman forms two tapering cones and a ball, joins them into one hourglass, then rubs the dark bronze finish by hand so the colour varies gently over the surface, like old metal that has been touched for years.
A short neck in a brass finish carries the shade. The shade itself is linen, a natural fibre from the flax plant, with a fine, slightly uneven weave stretched over a wide cone frame.
Steel shaped by hand, fibre from a plant, and warm light that brings out both. That is what gives this metal table lamp its calm presence.
