Overview
A dome of real alabaster, carved from one block, resting on a stack of rounded rings in an antique bronze finish. This bronze lamp stands 39 cm (15.4 in) tall, and its alabaster dome is 34 cm (13.4 in) across. It takes an E27 bulb.
Switch it on and the whole dome glows from inside. The honey and grey veins in the stone darken against the warm light, so the shade looks like a lit cloud.
Alabaster and bronze finish, shaped by hand
Alabaster is a soft, translucent stone that formed beneath the earth over thousands of years. Light passes through it, which is why it glows instead of simply shining.
Our craftsman reads each block before he carves it, choosing where the veins will fall across the dome. He hollows it by hand to an even thickness, so the light comes through evenly, then polishes the surface smooth. Every dome is cut from a different part of the stone, so no two shades look the same.
The base is a stack of five rounded rings in 304-grade stainless steel with an antique bronze finish, each one separated by a slim band. It is heavy and steady, and its warm metal tone sits well under the cream stone.
Stone from the earth, steel shaped by hand, and light that shows what nature made. That is what makes this bronze lamp feel like a sculpture that happens to light the room.

Light and fitting
This bronze lamp takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white E27 LED for the glow you see in the photos.
It is not dimmable. It gives one steady warm light. It plugs into a 220–240V wall socket. The lamp weighs about 3.5–5 kg, depending on the stone in your dome.
The bronze-finish base is 304-grade stainless steel, so it will never rust. You get a lifetime warranty against rusting on the steel. Spare parts, including the alabaster dome, stay available for 10+ years.
