Overview
Your black table lamp should look good even when it is off. This one does. Its dome of smoked borosilicate glass looks almost black by day. Switch it on and a warm glow fills the glass and falls softly on your bedside table.
The shape is calm and simple: a shallow glass dome on a slim stem and a weighted round base. The stem, base and top cap are 304-grade stainless steel with a matte black powder-coated finish. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy.
Smoked glass: what the light does with it
Borosilicate glass is melted from natural raw ingredients: silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. It is crystal-clear and pure. For this dome, smoke colour is added while the glass is made, so the tint runs through the glass itself. It is not a film or a coat of paint.
In our Greater Noida factory, a craftsman fits each dome over the LED and lines it up with the stem by hand, so the glow sits right in the centre.

Where a black table lamp works best
Bedside first. The dome keeps the light low and contained, so you can read or wind down without lighting up the whole room. The round base is 18 cm across, so it sits well on a narrow nightstand.

Light, power and steel that won’t rust
The built-in LED is 5W and gives a warm 3000K white, close to candlelight. The light falls downward in a soft pool. It is not dimmable; it gives one steady, warm light.

Wipe the glass with a soft, dry or lightly damp microfibre cloth. Dust the base with a dry cloth. Skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which can scratch the finish.

Vastu tradition prefers soft, warm light in the bedroom over strong light directly above the bed. A bedside lamp in a warm yellow-white tone is the usual advice for reading and winding down. This lamp’s 3000K glow, held low inside the dome, follows that idea.
