Overview
This blue and white table lamp pairs a royal-blue glazed ceramic gourd base with a white cotton drum shade. It stands 70 cm tall with a 38 cm shade. The glaze looks deep navy by day and turns rich cobalt under a warm bulb at night. Set it down and the corner of the room feels finished.
Glazed ceramic, shaped from earth
Ceramic starts as clay from the earth. The gourd base is shaped, glazed and kiln-fired, then sealed so the blue holds its colour for years without fading or chalking. Because glaze moves in the kiln, no two bases look exactly alike. The foot and neck are gold-finish 304-grade stainless steel, so they never rust. Switch it on and the white shade throws a soft, even glow down onto the blue.
