Wood Pendant Light – Reeded Matt Gold Dome, Opal Borosilicate Glass Ball, 15.7 cm

Some lights you notice only when they are on. This one you notice all day. This wood pendant light hangs a small, hand-reeded wood dome in matt gold over a soft opal borosilicate glass ball, on a slim rod of 304-grade stainless steel in a brass finish.

The dome is 15.7 cm across. Hang one over a nightstand or a worktop, a row over a kitchen island, or a loose cluster down a stairwell. Switched off, it reads like a small sculpture. Switched on, it becomes a warm orb under a quiet gold halo.

Real wood, reeded by hand

Wood takes years to grow. We don’t swap it for plastic. The dome is real wood, reeded by hand in our Greater Noida factory, ridge after ridge, then given a soft matt gold finish.

The ball under it is opal borosilicate glass. It starts as clear glass, melted from silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, with white added while it is made. That white is what turns a bare bulb into a calm, even glow.

Switch it on and the glass glows warm, with no filament on show. The inside of the dome catches that light, and every ridge picks up a thin line of gold. You get a pool of soft light, not glare.

Where does a small wood pendant light work best?

Over a kitchen island or worktop. Hang two or three in a row for warm, even task light with a vintage feel.

Beside the bed. One pendant on each side frees the nightstand and gives you a soft glow to read by.

Over a dining or breakfast table. One pendant centred low over a small table, or a cluster at staggered heights over a bigger one.

Hallways, nooks and stairwells. The drop can be made to your height, so the glow lands exactly where you want it.

It suits mid-century, vintage, farmhouse and transitional rooms. It looks at home with warm plaster, timber, marble and earthy tones.

Light and fitting

It takes one G9 bulb inside the opal ball. The bulb is not included; fit a 3000K warm-white G9 LED and change it whenever you need to. Max wattage: ask us and we will tell you.

This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light with the recommended bulb. It runs on 220–240V and is rated IP20, for indoor dry rooms only.

The rod, the cap above the dome and the 11 cm ceiling canopy are 304-grade stainless steel in a brass finish. That steel carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. The rod comes 1.5 m long as standard and is shortened at installation, or tell us your height and we make the drop to order. It is a hardwired ceiling pendant. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we give free video-call support.
