Small Wood Pendant Light – Brass Cap and Turned Wood Dome, 16 cm

Some corners need light, not a big fitting. A narrow kitchen counter. The space beside your bed. The arch at your entry. This small wood pendant light is made for them.

It is a turned solid wood dome, only 16 cm wide and 15 cm tall, under a small cap of 304-grade stainless steel in a brushed brass finish. It hangs on a brown fabric cord from a matching round wood canopy. Small enough to sit quietly in a tight space. Warm enough that you notice it every evening.

Real wood, turned by hand

Wood is a material that grows for years before it reaches us. You can see that time in the grain.

Our craftsman turns each dome from solid wood on a lathe, following the grain as he shapes the curve. He decides where the darker streaks will sit and leaves them alone. No paint, no print, no wood-grain wrap. Just the wood.

That is why no two shades match. One has tight, straight lines. The next has wide swirls on the crown. Switch it on and the inside of the dome glows a warm amber, while the cap catches a small highlight above.

Where a small pendant light works best

• Kitchen counter or breakfast bar: a 16 cm shade lights the worktop without crowding a narrow galley kitchen. Run two or three in a line for a longer counter.
• Bedside: hang it beside the bed at reading height and free your nightstand completely.
• Entry, hallway or landing: the shallow 15 cm height keeps headroom in tight spaces and gives you a warm welcome at the door.
• Small dining table: one over a two-seater, or a row of two or three over a longer table.
• Study desk or reading corner: a focused pool of light falls straight down onto the page.

Light, fitting and build

The dome throws light down onto the counter or table, where you need it. You don’t get glare in your eyes while you cook or eat.

It takes one E27 bulb, up to 60 W. The bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED for the softest glow inside the wood. The light is not dimmable.

The cap and the cord grip are 304-grade stainless steel with a brushed brass finish. They will not rust, and they carry a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. The pendant hangs on 1.5 m of brown fabric cord as standard, shortened to your drop at installation. It runs on 220–240V and is rated IP20, for indoor use.

Over a counter or table, hang the base 75 to 85 cm above the surface. At a bedside, set it at a comfortable reading height. It suits rooms from about 6 ft × 6 ft and ceilings of 8 ft and above.
