A gold temple cap in 304-grade stainless steel: a domed cap 45 mm across that sits at the very top of a chandelier, jhumar or hanging light. Overview
A bare rod and nut at the top of a chandelier is the one thing that makes it look unfinished. This gold temple cap fixes that. It is a small domed cap of 304-grade stainless steel, 45 mm across, with a bright gold finish.
It slips over the threaded rod or pipe through the hole in its centre. Then it sits at the very top of the fitting and hides the nut, the joint and the wiring entry. Some people call it a chandelier cap or a jhumar top cap. It is the same part.
What is this temple cap made of?
Steel is the quiet frame in everything we make. It carries the glass, the crystal and the stone, so it has to last. That is why every metal part we make is 304-grade stainless steel.
In our Greater Noida factory, each cap is shaped by hand into a dome, with a stepped rim at the base and a raised collar around the centre hole. Then it gets its gold finish. Look closely at the photos and you can see fine rings on the surface, left where the steel was shaped.
The gold is bright and warm, with a clear shine where the room’s light falls on the dome. It sits best beside gold, antique brass and champagne frames. With chrome, brushed nickel or matte black fittings, gold is not the right match.
Where does a chandelier temple cap fit?
- Chandeliers and jhumars: it covers the rod at the top of a multi-arm chandelier or a traditional jhumar, so the crown looks clean from below.
- Hanging lights: it hides the pipe or cord fixing at the top of the fitting.
- Wall lights: it fits over a bracket rod where it enters the body of the light, covering the raw joint.
- Repairs and new builds: replace a lost or tarnished cap on an older light, or finish a chandelier you are building from parts.
How do you fit a temple cap?
Slide the cap over the threaded rod or pipe before you tighten the final nut or fix the ceiling plate. That is all. No tools are needed, and the light stays wired as it is. Not sure on fitting day? We give free video-call help.
The centre hole is sized for a standard M10 threaded rod or decorative pipe. If your rod is a different size, send us a photo with measurements and we will confirm the fit before you order.
Because the cap is 304-grade stainless steel, it will not rust. We back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. It is a part only, sold as one piece: no bulb, nut or wiring.
Need the base of each candle arm finished too? Our gold candle cup cover is a 40 mm stainless steel cup in the same warm gold. For a bigger dome at the centre of the column, see our 75 mm chandelier cap.

FAQ
What is a temple cap used for?
A temple cap covers the threaded rod, nut and wiring entry at the top of a chandelier, jhumar, hanging light or wall light. It makes the fitting look neat and complete from below.
Is a temple cap the same as a chandelier cap?
Yes. A temple cap is the chandelier cap that sits at the very top of the fitting. This one is 45 mm wide, so measure your rod top before you order.
What size is this temple cap?
It is 45 mm (about 1.8 inch) across. Need another size? We make custom sizes in 15–20 days.
Will it fit the rod on my chandelier?
The centre hole is sized for a standard M10 threaded rod or decorative pipe. If your rod is not standard, send us a photo with measurements and we will confirm before you order.
Will the gold cap rust?
No. It is 304-grade stainless steel, so it will not rust, and we give a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. The warranty covers rusting of the steel, not the gold finish.
Is it sold as one piece or a set?
It is sold as one piece. Add the number of caps you need at checkout.
How soon will it reach me?
It ships in 4 working days when in stock. If it is not in stock, we make it for you in 12–15 working days, and a custom size, finish or colour takes 15–20 days. Shipping is free across India.
