Overview
This chandelier cap sits where your eye goes first when you look up at a chandelier: the very centre. It is a 75 mm tiered dome in polished gold or polished silver, and it turns a bare nut and washer into a neat, finished crown.
It is a spare part, not a light. It slides over the central threaded rod of a chandelier or jhumar and covers the cluster nut, where the arms meet the column. Three stepped rings rise to a small hole at the top, so the dome reads like a piece of jewellery, not hardware. Fitters also call it a dome cap or a grill cap.
Why a steel dome cap stays bright for years
We shape this cap from a sheet of 304-grade stainless steel in our own factory in India. A craftsman forms each ring one step at a time, then polishes the surface until it shines like a mirror.

Where does a chandelier cap go?
- Chandelier and jhumar assembly: it sits over the central column where the arms spread out, hiding the locking nut.
- Repairing an older fitting: if your old centre cap is scratched, missing or the wrong size, this chandelier cap replaces it in minutes.
- Building a light from parts: it is the last piece that closes the top of the column, so the fitting looks complete, not pieced together.
- Wall lamps and floor lamps: it works as a neat cover on any exposed rod end or cluster joint.
Pick gold to match gold arms, candle cups and bobeches. Pick silver for chrome-tone or crystal-and-steel chandeliers. Gold looks lovely against an ivory or cream ceiling, and it holds its own on a deep teal or terracotta one too.
How to fit it
