Gold Chandelier Dome Cap – 75 mm Tiered Grill Cap

The gold chandelier dome cap is a tiered, concentric-ring cap in polished gold metal that finishes the central rod of a chandelier, jhumar, or decorative hanging light. It slides onto the central threaded rod through the hole at its crown, covering the cluster nut and the joint where the arms meet the column, so the top of the fixture looks clean and intentional. At 75 mm across and 30 mm tall, the stepped dome gives the centre of your chandelier a jewellery-like crown rather than exposed hardware.

Where it fits

  • Chandelier and jhumar assembly: Sits over the central column where all the arms radiate outward, hiding the locking nut and giving the top of the fixture a finished, dome-shaped crown.
  • Multi-arm pendant refurbishment: If the existing centre cap is scratched, missing, or a mismatched size, this polished gold dome is a direct replacement that lifts the entire fixture.
  • Custom lighting builds: When assembling a hanging light from components, this is the final piece that closes the top of the central column and makes the fixture look complete rather than pieced together.
  • Wall lamp and floor lamp centres: Works as a decorative cover for rod ends and cluster joints on any fitting where the central column is exposed and you want a neat, gold-tone finish.

Why you’ll use it every day

Refreshing a chandelier you already love is far cheaper than replacing it. One mismatched centre cap — the wrong size, a tarnished finish, or a plain flat plate — can make an otherwise elegant jhumar look neglected. Swapping it for this polished gold dome costs very little, takes a few minutes, and the effect is disproportionate: the eye goes straight to the centre of a chandelier, and a clean, tiered cap makes everything radiating outward look deliberate.

Assembling a custom chandelier? The cap is the final step that says this fixture is finished. Without it, the central rod end is a raw nut and washer — visible from below and ungainly. With it, the column ends in a decorative dome that matches the gold hardware on the arms and sockets, and the whole piece looks like it arrived this way.

Light & finish

The polished gold surface is highly reflective: when the chandelier is lit, this cap catches and scatters warm light across the ceiling, adding a soft ambient glow to the area directly above the fixture. Unlit, it reads as a confident gold accent that anchors the centre of the chandelier and ties together any other gold hardware — arm tips, bobeches, candle cups — into a cohesive set.

It suits ivory, cream, or off-white ceilings particularly well, where the gold dome stands out as a deliberate ornament. Against a coloured ceiling — deep teal, terracotta, dusty pink — the polished gold holds its own without clashing. It works in traditional Indian interiors with carved or painted ceilings, in eclectic spaces that mix period furniture with modern walls, and in formal dining rooms or entranceways where the chandelier is the centrepiece. Also available in silver/chrome tone — both variants are shown in the listing images.

Vaastu & positive energy

In Vaastu, gold-toned metal is traditionally associated with the metal element — warmth, light, and richness — and is often recommended for the central, eye-drawing focal points of a room’s lighting. The concentric tiered rings keep the form smooth and circular, which is traditionally considered calming and supportive of steady energy flow. The symmetry of a perfectly centred cap reflects the balance and order that Vaastu-oriented interiors value. As the topmost visible point of a chandelier, this cap is associated with crowning the light source in a positive, complete manner.

Common questions

What is a chandelier dome cap used for?

It covers the central cluster nut and the joint where a chandelier’s arms meet the column, giving the top of the fixture a clean, finished appearance instead of exposed hardware.

What size is this dome cap?

75 mm in diameter and 30 mm tall. The central hole at the crown fits over the threaded rod that runs through most multi-arm chandeliers. Measure your existing cap or cluster plate diameter before ordering.

What is it made of?

Polished gold metal. The warm, bright gold finish reflects light well and complements other gold chandelier hardware such as candle cups and bobeches.

Will it fit my chandelier?

It suits most multi-arm chandeliers and jhumars with a standard central threaded rod. If your existing cap is close to 75 mm in diameter, this dome cap will fit. Contact us with your fixture details if you are unsure.

Is it sold singly?

Yes — one cap per order. Order two pieces if you need a matching cap at both the top and base of the central column.

Can I use it on wall lamps or floor lamps?

Yes. Wherever you have an exposed rod end or cluster joint that needs a decorative cover, this cap works. It is most commonly used on chandeliers but suits any fitting with a compatible threaded rod.
