Overview
A slim column of real wood, fluted at the top, rising from a round wooden base to a wide cone of natural linen. This wooden floor lamp stands 160 cm (62.9 in) tall. The shade is 55 cm (21.6 in) across and the base 34 cm (13.3 in). It takes an E27 bulb and switches on with a pull chain.
Switch it on and the linen glows warm, throwing light down onto your chair and up onto the wall. In a dark corner, it turns the whole room soft and golden.
Wood and linen, shaped by hand
The column and base are real wood in a deep walnut tone. Our craftsman turns the column on a lathe, then cuts flutes into its top section, one groove at a time. The rest is left smooth, so you see both the cut and the grain.
The base is a solid round disc of wood with a brass-finish ring where the column meets it. It keeps the lamp steady on the floor.
The shade is linen, a natural plant fibre with a fine, slightly uneven weave, stretched over a wide cone frame. The holder, fittings and pull-chain bead are 304-grade stainless steel in a brushed brass finish.
Wood that took years to grow, linen from a plant, and warm light that brings out the grain of both. That is what makes a wooden floor lamp feel calm in a room.
Where this wooden floor lamp works
- Beside a sofa or armchair. It is a warm reading light that leaves the side table free.
- Living room corners. Placed in a dark corner, it lifts the whole room without a ceiling light.
- Bedroom. Next to a reading chair or a dresser, it gives a soft evening glow.
- Hotel rooms and lobbies. Its warm tones and simple shape suit larger spaces that need a calm, welcoming light.
It suits walnut, teak and oak furniture, panelled walls, linen curtains and deep sofas. Pair it with a matching wooden table lamp for a finished look.
Light and fitting
This wooden floor lamp takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white E27 LED for the glow you see in the photos.
It is not dimmable. You switch it on and off with the pull chain under the shade. It plugs into a 220–240V wall socket on a 2.7 m (106.3 in) cable, long enough to reach a socket across most corners. The lamp weighs about 6.7 kg (14.8 lb).
The brass-finish parts are 304-grade stainless steel, so they will never rust. You get a lifetime warranty against rusting on the steel. Spare parts, including the linen shade, stay available for 10+ years.
