Overview
A tall column of fluted wood, banded in dark metal, rising from a heavy black base to a square cream shade edged in brown. This floor standing lamp is 160 cm tall. Its shade is 43 cm square at the base and 40 cm tall, and it takes an E27 bulb.
Switch it on and the shade glows warm, with its brown trim drawing a fine line around the light. Light falls down the flutes, so each ridge of the wood catches it.
Fluted wood and metal, shaped by hand
The column is real wood, made in sections. Our craftsman turns each section on a lathe, cuts long flutes down its length, and joins the sections with slim bands of 304-grade stainless steel in a dark finish.
The base is a heavy rounded square of 304-grade stainless steel with a textured matte black finish. With the whole lamp weighing about 14 kg, it stands firm on any floor.
The shade is cream, tapered into a square and finished with a brown trim along every edge. It softens the bulb into an even, warm glow.
Wood, steel and a soft shade, each left looking like itself. That is what makes this floor standing lamp feel tailored and calm.
Where this floor standing lamp works
- Beside a sofa. At 160 cm, the shade sits above shoulder height and lights the seat for reading.

Light and fitting
This floor standing lamp takes one E27 bulb. The bulb is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white E27 LED for the glow you see in the photos.
It is not dimmable. It plugs into a 220–240V wall socket, and a switch on the cable lets you turn it on from the floor. It weighs about 14 kg.
All the metal is 304-grade stainless steel, so it will never rust. You get a lifetime warranty against rusting on the steel. Spare parts, including the shade, stay available for 10+ years.
