Brass Dual Globe Floor Lamp – Opal Glass, 130 cm Satin Finish

Switch off the overhead light. Leave one lamp on beside the sofa. That is the evening this brass floor lamp was made for.

It carries two hand-blown opal borosilicate glass globes at two heights on one slim U-shaped stem. The upper globe is Ø 20 cm and sits at 130 cm. The lower one is Ø 15 cm and sits at 89.5 cm. So the light lands at two levels at once: one near your eyes when you sit, one at your shoulder.

Borosilicate glass is melted from silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. White is added while the glass is made, which turns it opal. Each globe is then blown by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

Switch it on and each G9 bulb becomes a full sphere of soft light. No bright spot. No visible filament. Unlit, the globes read as two quiet white spheres against the stem.

The stem and the 25 cm round base are 304-grade stainless steel, finished in a powder-coated satin brass finish. The brass is the colour of the surface; the steel underneath is what makes it last. It will never rust, and it carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.

Light and fitting

The lamp has two G9 holders, one in each globe, for up to 5 W each. Bulbs are not included. Fit 3000K warm-white G9 LEDs for the soft, golden glow you see in the photos. The light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm light.

There is no wiring to do and no drilling. The cord leaves from the base, with a foot switch you press with your toe, and plugs into a standard wall socket. At 5.4 kg, on its 25 cm base, it stands steady on marble, tile or wood, and still moves easily to the guest room. Keep the base at least 20 cm from the wall so the U-frame sits clear, and 30–60 cm from the arm of your sofa or chair. The lamp is IP20, made for indoor rooms. Need help setting it up?
