The Alabaster Tulip Modern Staircase Chandelier is a cascade of rounded stone shades on black cords, all hanging from one large round canopy. Each shade closes like a flower bud, with a soft scalloped lower edge. It is a tulip chandelier made for staircases, double-height foyers and tall living rooms.
Stone that glows from inside
Alabaster is a natural stone formed beneath the earth. It belongs to our stone family, and it lets light pass softly through it.
A craftsman looks at the stone before he decides how to work with it. Where should the lobes of the bud fall? Which vein should stay untouched? He shapes and finishes each shade by hand, and he leaves the veins alone, because they are the reason you want this stone.
Switch it on and each bud gives a warm, cloudy glow, with the bulb inside softened by the stone. Switch it off and the shades rest in white and cream, with fine grey and gold veining. Light and fitting: bulbs you can buy anywhere
Every light has a standard E27 holder, so bulbs are easy to find and easy to change. Bulbs are not included. Fit 3000K warm-white LED bulbs for the best glow through the alabaster. It runs on 220-240 V. It is not dimmable, so you get the same warm glow every evening. It is rated IP20, so keep it in dry indoor rooms.
The round 60 cm canopy and the caps above each shade are 304-grade stainless steel with a brass finish. That steel carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. What bulb holder does this chandelier use?
Every light uses an E27 holder. Bulbs are not included.
Which bulbs should I buy?
Warm white 3000K E27 LED bulbs give the best glow with alabaster.
Is it dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
Is the alabaster real stone?
Yes. The shades are natural alabaster, so veining and tone vary slightly from piece to piece.
How many lights does it have?
It has 18 lights on a 60 cm round canopy, as the dimension drawing shows. Each shade is 13 cm wide and 12 cm tall. Our gallery photos show a slightly fuller cluster, so go by the drawing, and ask us if you want more shades as a custom piece.
How long is the drop?
The drop depends on your stairwell or ceiling height. Share your height with us before ordering and we will confirm the right length.
Does it suit a spiral staircase?
Yes. It works as a spiral staircase chandelier where the stairs wrap around an open well. The shades hang at different heights, so warm light reaches every turn of the stairs. Share your stairwell height and width, and we will confirm the drop.
