You walk into the hotel. The doors close behind you. And before anyone says a word, you look up.
That is the moment this project was built for.
The hotel lobby chandelier Jaipur guests now see at Rajmahal Luminescence is one giant crystal showpiece, stretched the full length of a gold-trimmed ceiling bay. It glows like a frozen waterfall of light. People stop. They stare. They reach for their phones.
Here’s the thing. A lobby like this gets one chance to say “you’ve arrived somewhere special.” We gave it that chance.
Let me walk you through how we designed, built, and installed it — and how you can plan one for your own hotel.
Quick answer: what we built
For Rajmahal Luminescence in Jaipur, JagMag designed and installed one oversized, elongated crystal lobby chandelier — a multi-tier cascade of thousands of fine crystal rods, shaped to follow a long recessed gold-trimmed ceiling bay in a double-height lobby. It was custom-made in our own India factory, then fitted on site by our own team. The result is a single, sweeping light that fills the whole arrival space.

The design story
The lobby was the problem and the answer.
It was tall. Wide. Long. A normal round chandelier would have looked like a button on a bedsheet — lost in all that space. So we didn’t fight the room. We followed it.
We shaped the fixture like a long, soft boat — rounded at both ends, tapering gently, sitting inside the curved ceiling bay like it grew there. Then we layered it. Tier over tier of vertical crystal-rod strands, each row a little shorter than the one above, so the whole thing reads like a waterfall caught mid-fall.
Look at this. From below, the light bounces through every rod and scatters across the ceiling. From the side, you see the tiers step down in waves. Walk under it and it changes with every step. That movement is the magic.
The crystal is clear and bright. The LEDs sit hidden inside, throwing a soft honey-gold glow that makes the marble floor and gold ceiling trim feel rich, not flashy. It’s grand. But it’s calm. That balance is what makes a lobby feel five-star instead of loud.

How we built it, step by step
Big lights look like magic. They’re really just careful steps done right.
- We measured the real space. Ceiling height, bay length, sightlines from the door — everything. The fixture had to fit the bay and clear the floor traffic.
- We designed the shape. We drew the elongated tapered form and worked out the tier spacing so the cascade looked full but never blocked the view across the lobby.
- We built the steel frame. A strong, lightweight skeleton, made in our own factory, sized to lock into the ceiling bay safely.
- We strung the crystal. Thousands of rods, hung row by row, each tier checked by hand so the waterfall lines stayed even.
- We installed and wired on site. Our own team scaffolded up, fixed the frame, fitted the LEDs, and tuned the glow. No outside contractor. One team, start to finish.
How big should a hotel lobby chandelier be?
Good question. Here’s the simple math.
For width, add your lobby’s length and width in feet, then read that number in inches. A 20 ft × 16 ft area points to roughly a 36-inch fixture — but a grand lobby usually wants more, so size up.
For height, allow about 2.5 to 3 inches of chandelier height for every foot of ceiling. A tall double-height lobby can easily carry a 5 to 7 foot tall design. (See this chandelier size guide from DelMarFans and this two-story foyer guide from Seus Lighting for the full formulas.)
One safety rule: keep the bottom of the fixture at least 7 to 8 feet above the floor where people walk. And in a very long lobby like Rajmahal, one big custom piece often beats three small ones. It reads as a single, confident statement.

Why a hotel lobby chandelier Jaipur hotels trust is Made in India
Now you might be thinking — why not just import a big crystal chandelier?
Here’s the catch. A hotel light isn’t a one-time buy. It needs service. It needs spare parts. It needs someone who picks up the phone in year three when one tier needs attention. Importers often can’t do that.
We can. Because we make it ourselves.
| What matters | JagMag (Indian manufacturer) | Typical importer / stockist |
|---|---|---|
| Custom lead time | 15–20 working days | 60–120 days |
| Spare parts later | Available 10+ years on | Often gone once stock clears |
| Who fixes problems | Our own India team, overnight support | Wait on an overseas supplier |
| Re-order the exact piece | Yes — we can make it again | Often discontinued |
JagMag Lights is a 100% Make-in-India custom chandelier manufacturer — a DPIIT-recognised, government-funded startup based in Greater Noida. We build in-house, hold spares for years, and support every project ourselves. That’s why hotels trust us with the one light everyone sees first.

Which design should you buy?
Planning something similar? Start here:
- Long, sweeping lobby? A flowing cascade like our Wave chandelier with cascading glass leaves sets the movement you want.
- Tall, narrow drop? The Glass Feather hand-blown cascade falls beautifully through high ceilings.
- Stairwell or atrium beside the lobby? The Talar 300 cm Murano glass column was made for tall voids.
