Overview
Switch it on and a soft, warm pool of light falls on your table. This smoked glass pendant light is a 22 cm disc of smoked borosilicate glass, just 8 cm tall, with a white opal dome tucked inside. A brushed gold cap of 304-grade stainless steel sits on top. A 3000K warm-white LED is built in.
The grey glass keeps it calm when it is off. The opal dome makes it glow when it is on. That is the one detail people notice.
Smoked and opal borosilicate glass, shaped by hand
Borosilicate glass starts as natural raw ingredients: silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. Melted together, they make glass that is crystal-clear and pure.
This pendant uses it twice. For the outer disc, smoke colour is added while the glass is made, so the shade turns a see-through grey. For the inner dome, white colour is added, so it turns opal. Each piece is shaped and finished by hand, then seated under the gold cap.
Light does two things here. It softens through the opal dome, so you never see the LED. Then it passes through the smoked rim as a gentle grey halo. No glare. No hot spot.
Where a small smoked glass pendant light works best
At 22 cm across, it fits where a big shade would feel heavy.
Beside the bed. Hang one on each side and clear your bedside table. Keep the shade 50–70 cm above the nightstand. See all our bedroom pendant lights.

Light and fitting
The cap and the slim rod are 304-grade stainless steel with a brushed gold finish. This steel does not rust. Every stainless steel part carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
The pendant hangs on Teflon-coated copper wire, 1.5 m long as standard. Your electrician shortens it at installation to the drop you want. It mounts on a ceiling canopy.
The light is an integrated 3000K warm-white LED, so there is no bulb to buy. The LED module has a 1-year warranty on orders from 4 October 2026. It runs on 220–240V. It is not dimmable. It gives a fixed, warm 3000K light. It is rated IP20, for indoor rooms.

Vastu tradition asks for soft, warm light where a family eats. It favours a light centred over the dining table, with the table placed so you face east or north while eating. This pendant gives a steady 3000K glow through opal glass, so the table feels warm, not harsh.
In the bedroom, Vastu guidance prefers warm, soft bedside light and no strong light right above the bed. A small pendant beside the bed does exactly that. In the kitchen, it asks for counters with no dark corners or shadows, and warns against flickering light. Glass and steel keep the fitting simple and clean.

Where does a smoked glass pendant light look best in an Indian home?
