Oriol Frosted Glass Globe Wall Sconce – 48 cm Antique Gold Arch | Jagmag Lights

The Oriol is a frosted glass globe wall sconce built around an antique gold metal arched arm and a smooth 15 cm opal borosilicate glass globe. At 48 cm tall with just 2 cm of projection from the wall, it reads as a deliberate decorative statement without crowding a walkway or occupying floor space. The frosted globe hides the G9 bulb entirely and turns a single lamp into a soft, even ambient glow — warm enough to create atmosphere, gentle enough for a bedroom at midnight. It suits Jagmag wall lights for living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, and guest rooms where layered light matters.

Where it fits

• Living rooms: mount beside a sofa, console table, or artwork where you want a point of ambient light without using a surface. At 48 cm it reads strongly against a feature wall without overwhelming smaller rooms.
• Bedrooms: install as a matched pair at headboard height — one on each side — freeing the nightstand entirely of a lamp and cord while giving each sleeper their own soft light.
• Hallways and landings: at just 2 cm projection the arm clears walkway traffic easily, and the single round globe stays visually light beside a large mirror or framed art.
• Guest rooms and hospitality spaces: the warm gold and diffused globe create an instantly welcoming atmosphere that suits both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Why you’ll use it every day

The frosted globe gives glare-free light that is easy on tired eyes, so it is the switch you reach for to wind down rather than a harsh overhead. In a bedroom, a bedside pair throws just enough light to read or move around quietly without disturbing a sleeping partner — and as wall fixtures they keep the nightstand clear. In a hallway or landing, the warm glow turns a through-space into somewhere worth pausing in. The antique gold arm looks finished even in daylight, so the fitting earns its wall space during waking hours too.

Light & finish

Unlit, the Oriol is a smooth white sphere on a warm gold arm — the antique finish has a subtle aged depth that looks intentional rather than bright. When lit, the opal borosilicate glass softens the G9 lamp into a diffused sphere of warm white light with no visible filament and no hot spot, so the wall around it glows rather than being washed out. The antique gold pairs naturally with warm-toned interiors: terracotta walls, dark teak or walnut furniture, linen and cotton textiles, or off-white plaster. It also works as a deliberate contrast accent against cooler grey walls, where the warmth of the gold reads as an intentional point of richness.
